1632 NY-7, TroyI can’t say enough about this office. From the front end to the providers, they are all amazing. My New Frenchie ran into the couch and fractured his elbow on the growth plate. They had us come right in gave us a game plan and walked us through everything. Days later, front end staff and techs were calling or emailing me asking how he was because they just fell in love with him. From day one they showed so much care and dedication to our family. Our dog was still limping a few months after surgery they got him right in to get the screws removed. He’s walking and doing so much better. They constantly check in because they care about their patients. Truly, the best facility I’ve ever been to. It’s not about money with them they truly care about people and their animals. Thank you so much for all you do!

Collar City Animal Hospital
499 2nd Avenue, TroyThis office cared for my 3 cats from 2020 to 2025 (1 cat all those years, one from 2020-2021, and the other from 2021-2023). They are a great office, with a great vet. Even when we moved out of Cohoes I still drove the 20 minutes to keep this office.
One of my kitties passed away from a breast cancer. I’ll never forget, during the process of first treating the tumor Dr. Linendoll spent 45 minutes on the phone with me talking through the pros and cons of major surgery to remove the tumor, because I really wanted to make sure I was being the most humane while also doing whatever we could for her. Dr. Linendoll totally understood and respected that, and I really really appreciated her directness and openness in talking through it all. That’s exactly what I needed. We did end up doing the surgery, but she did pass away a few months later because the tumor had metastasized to her lungs and taken over. We had done an x-ray before surgery to make sure there weren’t any obvious metastases.
All that to say, I really recommend this office. We only left because we moved out of state.

We’ve used them for veterinary care for almost five years and they’ve always provided incredible routine care and prevention services, and helped guide us through a very difficult terminal diagnosis with compassionate palliative care for one of our dogs. We’ve never been pressured to make decisions or engage treatments that did not make the most sense for our pets. Not only are the doctors incredible, but their support team of vet techs and admin staff provide consistent professional and friendly service. They have even accommodated us at their Bought Rd. sister site when an appt at Oakwood didn’t work with our schedule. Do not hesitate to call them for some of the best veterinary care in the region.

Happy Paws on Pawling - a doggie daycamp
670 Pawling Ave, TroyI was immediately impressed with Crystal's intake process. It was clear that she knows dogs, and she knows dog behavior and pack mentality. Crystal is the best - she cares deeply for each dog in her care, and they know. The facility is amazing, it's clean with separated play areas inside and out that allows for safe grouping of dogs. We knew our pup was in the best hands and never worried when she was in Crystal's care. I wish all dog daycares operated how Crystal runs Happy Paws - at Happy Paws it is not about the money; it is about the dogs being safe, having fun and being a bit spoiled by love.

461 Broadway, TroyI have been to Nighthawks a bunch of times over the years- for both dinner and brunch. They are probably one of the best and most innovative brunch places around with very interesting flavor combinations. They are a farm to table restaurant with everything fresh made. Dinner has always been great every time I have gone and if I am not feeling what is up on the menu board I just order one of the best cheeseburgers around, which is always available. You really can never go wrong there. The cocktails are also amazing as well. It's a small space and used to be first come first serve, but they now take reservations. My only complaint is in the colder months if you sit by the door it's very chilly as they only have a curtain separating the front door from the dinning area.

Owners/ staff very pleasant food was very tasty and also the staff sent me off with a complimentary brownie. I look forward to exploring their menue further. Couple nice seating options outside.

379 Congress Street, TroyWe recently visited Troy with our dogs and decided to give this place a try one afternoon. What an absolutely wonderful place to go have a pint with your furry friends. They have a great patio, but it was raining and the staff allowed us to bring our pups inside (they were in strollers). They were so friendly and gave our schnauzers plenty of attention, and even a sausage to share! The beer was amazing, with plenty of options, some of which are hard to find. If we ever find ourselves back in Troy, we will be coming back!

I get the stewed pork over rice and it’s always just the right amount of food and tastes amazing and is super flavorful, the fried wings are also amazing. Definitely short on atmosphere since it is hole-in-the-wall, but they are always really friendly. Also, much better than the mid poke at River St Poke Bar and the other places that are owned by the same person.

Wings were crispy but not *fried* crispy, and the green tomatoes were perfect crisp, thin tomatoes. Both were the best I've ever had! Got a brisket sandwich with Mac and beans. Brisket sandwich as average. Too soft for my liking but thats personal preference stuff. Mac was great, beans were good. Got the key lime pie for desert (it was my birthday). That was good, too. But if you come, ORDER THE HABANERO WINGS AND TOMATOES!!!! Waitress was great, incredibly attentive and nice. Atmosphere was spot on. If youre driving through, this is beyond worth the stop!
