“I've been going for 3 years. Started off as a crossfit box and has evolved such that you don't have to take "crossfit" classes. You can do cardio, strength and boxing classes. I'm 56 and there are things I just can't do with traditional crossfit anymore but have no trouble with the other classes. I get a super hard workout each time. Like I told the owner, I come because I don't like working out but I know that if I just show up -mission accomplished. Hard working guys do a great job to make this place the best! Highly recommend.”

I’m a beginner and he always works with me to make the workouts work for me. He also challenges me when I complain of not wanting to do it. “My experience at f45 in Scarsdale has been life changing! Since joining, I have rebuilt my entire routine and feel a part of a community. The work outs are geared towards all fitness levels and certainly help you reach your goals. I've become a lot stronger and have challenged myself in more ways than not. I take most classes with Coach Amanda and Coach Tiffany during the week and feel so supported every time I walk in! They take the time to ensure your form is correct and I feel so comfortable asking questions. The energy is contagious in there because the instructors truly build you up and encourage you throughout the entire class. The members are also supportive and I've made friends along the way that inspire me to sign up for weekly classes. I recommend f45 in Scarsdale to anyone and everyone I meet! Try it and you won't regret it!! :)”

“I came all the way from NJ because of the amazing reviews for EVF Performance & CrossFit Upper East Side. And it absolutely lived up to every single one of them!

Coach Joshua was a standout & incredibly knowledgeable (so friendly!) and motivating. You can tell he really cares about everyone in the room doing their best.

The facility itself! Oh well organized and has everything you need for a great workout. The other members were friendly and supportive which made it easy to jump right in (sometimes gyms can feel cliquey but not here).

Worth the trip from NJ & I’ll definitely be back!”

“This is one of the nicest gyms I’ve ever been to, the machines are new and facilities are well maintained. The only thing I’m bummed about is the recent price increase, I was hoping that old members would be grandfathered in to their old rates. I think the increase is worth it for people who just use the equipment. I will give them some time to hopefully expand the classes offered and will decide if I want to continue my membership or cancel.”

“Love this place. My membership is strictly for access to the gym not for the classes. The space itself is well kept and very open. It is perfect for a workout. I enjoy the easy access into the gym, simply open the door with my cellphone and get to work. I go in the early mornings and usually have the space all to myself and my tunes.Also Eoghan is awesome, he designed specific strength programs to improve my strength for my jujitsu training. I have nothing but positive things to say about Uptown Movement it is a really great place with wonderful people.”

The coaches are incredibly helpful and motivating, the classes are always varied and never repetitive, and the front desk staff is so welcoming. Julissa, in particular, goes above and beyond with her creativity, constantly finding exciting ways to make events more engaging and fun.

The energy from the members is also inspiring—it’s so motivating to work out alongside such dedicated individuals. My personal favorite is the 90-minute classes; they’re always fun, challenging, and keep me coming back for more!

There are maybe two (non consecutive) hours out of the whole day where I can get access to all the equipment that I intend to use.Otherwise, it's improvising a 'Plan B' workout. I’ve had recurring issues with Retro Fitness corporate regarding how they process members with an Ultimate Membership. Maddie (spelling?) has been absolutely wonderful — not only in diffusing my frustration but also in creating a workaround to ensure I’m not humiliated each time I’m wrongfully flagged for using the privileges my membership includes. If it weren’t for the positive customer experience Maddie and her staff provide, I’d probably be a Planet Fitness member by now.”
