“We are thoroughly pleased with our choice for our wedding venue. From the beginning they were communicative and beyond helpful in answering our numerous questions and had a great understanding that we were spending a good sum of money to have a wedding. We never felt they tried to upsell us, but we are pleased we decided to add the bridal suite and upgrade to the premium bar which ended up only adding just over $100 to our bill at the last minute. The premium bar took our 2 signature drinks to the next level and everyone was obsessed! Because we went with the premium bar they were able to create fun, gorgeous, and custom mocktails on the spot for our guests who don't drink! They provide a coordinator to keep the schedule moving and coordinate all logistics with your vendors (something we had budgeted for a DOC and didn't need with them! I am a program planner and designer so I found that this was all I needed, but if you need a wedding planner that would be an outside service). They helped us create a perfect timeline and with my perfectionism we were ahead of schedule for a calm stress-free day. Having the two-room bridal suite was amazing, relaxing, and provided ample space for us and our families and wedding party. They were prompt and accommodating to all our day of needs and the staff were genuinely excited throughout the night. We had a relatively small wedding - just over 50 people and we felt like the space worked well. It didn't feel empty with a small number which was hard for us to find. 1000/10 would recommend.
Additionally, we went with their recommendation for a DJ, Brandon Fess, who only works at HGH. We were looking for someone inexpensive and didn't need a typical DJ experience for our small group. He was great to work with to develop our custom dance, cocktail hour, and dinner playlists. He did the normal emcee duties, but was otherwise hands off which is what we wanted! Since it was the first few days after the summer solstice we didn't want a light package since it was only dark enough for the last hour of the night with all of HGH's gorgeous windows providing ample light.”
“Such a fun place with a phenomenal variety of classes! We always look forward to our next booking! Such a great resource for putting together a comprehensive list of local offerings!”
“This place is FANTASTIC for the art lover in the family! There's all kinds of stuff everywhere. Just a peaceful place to walk around & scope-out all the art. Brings back good memories, & creates new ones. There's plenty of art everywhere you look, it's nice to see artisans fill the space w/ their work, even if you like it or not. Parking is free, there's not much of it, but it's free. The staff are friendly & helpfull. This is a great place to book for corporate meetings or fundraisers.”
“We had our wedding in February 2024 at Jackrabbit Club. The venue and staff make wedding planning easy. The venue itself is stunning; we had very minimal décor and it still felt unique and luxurious. Joelle was wonderful to work with and helped create the floor plan, menu, and schedule. Our guests are still gushing about the cocktails and the dinner service was phenomenal. Everyone at Jackrabbit Club was professional, attentive, and cheerful. We highly recommend Jackrabbit for a wedding or event!”
“If you are a fan of the Alamo Draft House then you will love this place. It's a much smaller scale than Alamo - think the mom and pop version of the Alamo. There is only one screen so they only play one movie at a time. But it was wonderful. Drinks were great. Food was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just make sure that you check out the website ahead of time to find out about parking and I would suggest creating a Heartland account prior to ordering the food. Definitely happy Rochester has something like this. I highly recommend it especially for a date night. We will be back, frequently. ?”
“I had my bridal shower at Thornbee and it was a wonderful experience. The event space was a great size for an intimate gathering and the kitchen space made it easy to bring in food/drinks. The farm also offered favors of maple syrup & honey that were a hit in addition to coffee and tea. The owners were communicative and accommodating during the planning process which made everything feel easy. I'd recommend this place for any future shower or other private event!”
“So accommodating for my Holiday Bravo Nights recital presented by the Opera Guild of Rochester. Beautiful room and building! You can see some views of the room on the YouTube video... "Holiday Bravo Nights." Many thanks to the staff of the Perkins mansion!”
“Excellent event space. We were able to have our event here with nearly 100 people present. Plenty of tables and chairs, full kitchen, serving bar. Handicapped accessible. However, it shares a parking lot with the golf course, so be prepared. One can park in a wooded area across the street though.”
“Bowling ally is on the smaller side, but other than that it’s a great atmosphere. Staff was really nice, and the manager working that night deserves a raise for sure! Food was good. Bar was closed but was able to get drinks through the front desk.”
“This ice rink is beautiful and the ice skating is great,it is a great family atmosphere and the lights are cool.Over all this is a great place that I would 100% recommend coming to with family and friends.”
“Pretty ragged inside, but served its purpose for volleyball tournament which was local, free parking, free admission, and Pretty cool to navigate thru old building.”

“The hotel is well located in the center of downtown. While the city has a limited amount of things worth walking to, the things that are were close to the hotel and made it easy to get to. The hotel itself was clearly renovated recently and the renovation did a good job with the rooms clean and in good condition. Only real critique is that there were no towel racks which seems like a weird design omission during a remodel. The hotel restaurant had good food and the employees were extremely nice. It's honestly a recommendation if you're looking for somewhere to eat going there is not a bad choice at all. Overall if I were to stay in Rochester again I would book this hotel again.Rooms: Rooms were recently remodeled and are in good and clean conditionWalkability: This hotel is centrally located in downtown making it walkable to different restaurants and suchFood & drinks: The food and drink of the hotel restaurant was very good no complaints at all and definitely would recommend”
