“Retired in the area three years ago. We came from fresh water fishing too uncharted waters. We met Deb and Russ, and they changed everything! Set us up with rods,reels,and tackle. Landed my 1rst ever Old Drum with an Owen Lupton rig that is made in their store. 53 inch long fish and a FOREVER memory. Next was my 26-inch 6lb trout. Both fish brought me 2 Nc certifications. The fishing history and knowledge goes back to the generation with this family. The store has a lodge attached that puts you literally one block down from the Vandermer public boat launch, which is phenomenal!!! 2 launch bays,tons of parking,CLEAN AND SAFE. If you LOVE to fish, your first go-to should be Vandermer Nc and Squidders Bait and Tackle Oh, and when you stop in after an AMAZING day on the water!! You can enjoy your success with an ice cold soda or beer as they have an on premises license and sit at the community table and regale your wonderful adventures on the water.
