Pleasure Island Animal Hospital
1140 North Lake Park Blvd J, Carolina BeachI had been going to the same vet for over 30 years, so when my veterinarian recently retired, I was honestly a little nervous about finding a new place. Sadly, with the new ownership, the vibe just wasn’t the same, and I no longer felt comfortable taking my fur baby there.
So I decided to take my Daisyblu to Pleasure Island Animal Hospital—and let me tell you, boy am I glad I did! ❤🐾
The staff is absolutely incredible. The entire atmosphere is so friendly, warm, and welcoming. And Dr. Ked is AMAZING! He and his assistant were genuinely happy and excited to meet Daisyblu. They even got down on the floor to give her some lovins, and that meant so much to me. 🥰
Daisyblu is not just my dog—she is my baby and the most important thing in my life. I could truly feel that Dr. Ked and his staff cared about her and wanted her to feel comfortable, safe, and loved.
The whole experience was wonderful, and I couldn’t be happier that we found Pleasure Island Animal Hospital. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who genuinely cares about your fur babies! ❤🐶

1140 North Lake Park Blvd C, Carolina BeachThis was our 1-year-old doodle’s first time on vacation in CB, and she loves daycare once a week at home, so thought we’d try sending her for half-days at Pet Bazaar on our beach days for some fun, and fun was had!
First, everyone was SO friendly and made things simple from my first phone call; I emailed our vet records, and our pup was scheduled for her free, 3 hr behavioral assessment. She then came for daycare 3 more half days of our trip where she loved the doggie pool days and excitedly greeted the staff each time we came, she just seemed so happy to go. I love how they post tons of pics each day on their FB page too. We will definitely bring her back next trip, I definitely recommend!

Michael's Seafood Restaurant
1206 North Lake Park Blvd A, Carolina BeachThe very best! This is the very best seafood restaurant I have ever experienced. And I say experienced because it was the whole deal. The service was outstanding, the manager accessible and friendly. But most importantly the food was simply outstanding. The chowder, which they claim as many awards, deserves every possible award. I've traveled the country a lot including the New England states and nothing compares to their chowder. Another one of my favorites are scallops. Most places don't really know how to season or cook a scallops. They're either over / under seasoned but usually overcooked and thus chewy and tough. Michaels has figured out how to do with perfection. We went there two nights and the scallops were the same: delicious perfectly cooked so it wasn't just a one time thing, they are consistently good. Others in our party had a variety of dishes and all raved about it. As for me I really enjoy oysters. On Sundays they have a 50% off on oysters. Lucky for me we went on a Sunday and I had a dozen of very fresh good sized oysters that were delicious. I highly recommend Michaels seafood for the food, service, atmosphere, but mostly because they really have mastered the skill of cooking seafood

They have an amazing collection of rare hard alcohol. You will meet either Jamie or Steph, both are amazing people to get to know. This by far my most favorite location to visit! While they don’t serve food to order they do offer tacos 🌮 on Mondays and live music 🎶 during the weekends in summer.
