1102 N Howe St Bldg C, SouthportVery busy Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend. We literally got the last of the brisket which I am very glad-it was great. Saw they had won several awards for their ribs so tried them. Drop off the bone tender and the rub was just right. They were incredible.

Spike's Dairy Bar
201 N Howe St, SouthportSuch a cute and fun stop in Southport! We especially loved the Dole Whip, but they had tons of different options to choose from and the prices were really good. Everyone was friendly and it has that fun, old-fashioned walk-up dairy bar feel.
We also loved that Spike’s is one of Southport’s filming locations and was used in Under the Dome. That made it an even more fun stop while we were checking out filming locations around town.
Definitely worth stopping by for a quick treat while exploring Southport!

We got there about 10 minutes before opening and someone I assumed he was the manager said go ahead and and sit down we were seated on a side porch made for customers it was enclosed and air-conditioned. We never went inside the main building but outside going up there was seating to the right and the left in the yard with a sails covering the area. The selection of pizzas, which is what we were there for were very generous. I got a pizza that had pesto and olive oil and tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Honestly, it’s one of the best pizzas that I have ever eaten so I would give this place a 10 star review if I could they also offer wines domestic beers and IPA.

Cayla and Sara took our order and even placed a candle on my slice of cake and wished me a happy birthday. OMG the carrot cake Sara makes is phenomenal!! I didn’t even share it with my three kids it was so damn good!Truly enjoyed our breakfast and both of the ladies. I chose the 1/2 French toast sandwiche with the hash brown casserole, hubby did the biscuits and gravy. Oh my god! So delicious! If you haven’t tried the French toast sandwich you need too! Especially with bacon!! would definitely recommend this cafe, it’s so nice to enjoy a meal with a beautiful view and great company!! Please check them out, you won’t be disappointed!! ❤️ Photo of the hash brown casserole from May 6th and it was even better than before!

I could not contain my excitement at the lavender syrup option for teas/coffees, and about keeled over in disbelief at their free refill (if you sit in) policy. Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill
4907 Fish Factory Rd SE, SouthportThis place was gorgeous. My father in law took us all here for a beautiful dinner. Which was delicious. But what I really loved was how awesome the servers were with my kids, especially my very busy toddler.
There was a little band performing. It was so nice. We actually sat upstairs with the lovely ac, but I would recommend outside on a cooler night.

106 Yacht Basin Dr, SouthportI was craving nacho’s and I knew this would be a good pick. The nachos were warm, just a little spicy, salty, and crunchy. I liked being able to choose between different protein toppings. The service was fast and friendly. On top of that, I was seated in the shade on the water front and it was gorgeous! I’ll definitely eat here again. I got iced tea but next time I’m going for a cocktail or margarita!!!!

Our waitress was wonderful and had such a warm, friendly personality, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Between the beautiful ocean view, the refreshing breeze, and the relaxing atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for dinner. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better evening and will definitely be back!

A good pour and service by the bartender, the atmosphere is casual and fun, and the food is off the charts, a bay-seasoned plate of oysters, mussels, and little necks, collard, okra, and red potatoes.
