“More Than a Wine Store — It’s Family
I’ve been going to Triangle Wine in Cary for over 10 years, and I honestly don’t know why it’s taken me this long to write a review — this place is truly special.
The owners are wonderful and treat me like family every time I walk through the door. One of the most meaningful gestures was when they gifted me use of the back room to host my out-of-town friends and family the day before my baby shower. It meant so much — and it’s just one example of how kind and generous they are.
The staff is always attentive and welcoming. They know my wine preferences and never steer me wrong — their recommendations are always spot on! The wine selection is extensive, with something for every palate, and their events are not only top notch but also incredibly cost-friendly.
Triangle Wine isn’t just a place to buy wine — it’s a place where community, connection, and quality come together. Can’t say enough great things about it!

“This was my first time at The Wine Merchant, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had just returned from a trip to Italy and was looking for a bottle of Chianti Riserva but wasn’t sure which one to choose. The staff member took the time to ask thoughtful questions about my taste preferences and made a recommendation that was absolutely spot on. “Grabbed a very tasty beer from here recently. It was pretty quiet when I arrived, but the bartender was helpful and answered some questions I had about the beer selection. Speaking of which, it was a little more limited than I was expecting. High quality stuff, but I definitely appreciate more variety. Overall, I really enjoyed the beer I did buy, so I'll most likely come back to sample other wares :)”
“Great selection and extremely friendly service every time I visit. They picked out a couple of my all time favorites that I love to share with other wine lovers such as Alto Moncayo Granacha. I go out of my way when I can to buy from them because of the gems discovered through their friendly service and expertise.”
“My family loves this neighborhood store. Great products, friendly staff. Check their Smokehouse, coffee station and “beer den”. Buy vine/beer for yourself, smoothies for your kids, grab sandwich/burger from Smokehouse and enjoy the evening with locals in large seating area. By the way, on certain days they have discounts for drinks.”
“All the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable—Alyssa, Alex, and Adam, as well as one of the managers though I can’t remember his name (maybe Carter?). Great experience!”

“Well I'm going to have to get five stars to this Harris teeter for their employee named Jacob I called to see if they had something in a specific area Jacob went above and beyond to go and just check for me and I really appreciate that and that he went above and beyond that's awesome that's good customer service five stars for Jacob”
“I visited the store for groceries tonight. The gentleman in orange vest (could be the store manager) helped me solve a problem. He was very honest, responsible and went above and beyond to make sure the customer was happy. He has set a golden standard for customer service. Will definitely come back often.”
“This was my first time at this ABC store because I don’t stay on this side of town. The staff were super friendly and customer service was excellent. I bought a case of alcohol and the clerk suggested that we open the case to make sure all was there, nothing was broken and that there were no empty bottles. I really appreciate him doing that for me. I will be back if I am on this side of town again.”
“Branden was extremely helpful in customer service. She actually looked for the item I was seeking. As I was leaving the store I noticed a photo of her being recognized as employee of the month. I certainly agree with that! Also Lisa is always so helpful and kind when checking me out! These employees should be training others in customer service.”
“Clean and friendly store. I like how the store is laid out with wide aisles. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is because I was charged seventy-five cents for cash back even walmart doesn't do that.”
“I love everyone that works here! Every time I go in, they are always clean and organized. Always stocked up. They have a new cooler area with mixed drink like beverages!!!! I definitely want to give them a shot! But back to the employees that work at this location, they are all absolutely awesome! I have gone there for years now, and do forgive me, but there's one gentleman that has been there for years and years that I do not know his name, but he is the best! I do believe he may be one of the managers. He knows me by name, which makes me feel even worse and if he is reading this, he knows I'm talking about him! I do apologize and I will get your name next time!????”
“This is my usual grocer and I have but one comment. As a disabled veteran, I love the veteran parking for days I'm hurting, but if I'm using that parking and hurting, and/or I have my kid with me, then finding somewhere to put the cart after is abhorrent. You either have to take it inside or to the middle of the parking lot. Why is there not a safer cart return for veterans to use so they don't have to walk away from their kid in the car? Seems like an oversight. If this is fixed I'll update to a 5 ⭐ review. Maybe add a couple expecting mother's parking spots too, it is a grocery store after all, they be hungry.”
“I received excellent customer service from Eric. He made coordinating an order for a colleague simple and easy! I appreciated his thoughtfulness (i.e. asking if he should add a message to the service) and ensured the order was complete. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely be a returning customer.”
“I go there at least twice a week. I hate when they give me the receipt speech. I usually ask them to skip it and never had a problem. Marie D took it very personally and was rather rude. People in this store are never rude. I'm surprised she's still employed there. She's slow as hell. Wears a cloth mask and carries her purse over her shoulder. I wish her luck but the attitude sucks.”
“This particular Harris Teeter can get very busy but excellent customer service at the full checkout registers, but removed a star since self checkout customer service is a hit or miss and I feel bad when I greet SCO cashier and they don't greet me back but not a big deal since it is of course self checkout and they help with a smile when I actually need assistance so thank you and will be back and so will my family. :)”
“I have been visiting this location for almost a decade now. The store is always clean and bright, as well as organized. I have not had any issue with spoiled or out of date product, parking is always available, and inventory is plentiful outside of holidays and weather anomalies. Recently, I noticed that the bakery has also continued its time honored tradition of free sugar cookies to children; something I haven't seen in five years!”
“I go to this location regularly. Good prices if you use their member card. The building is a bit old and feels slightly smaller than most Harris Teeters.
Staff is always helpful at the front end and the shift leader/manager who is usually up front is extremely friendly.
Pizzas/Subs from the deli are on the better end of what you get at other local Teeters.
If you do visit, check out the Kathmandu Kitchen next door. A little on the pricey side with smaller portions, but their food is the absolute best when it comes to taste.”
