From the start, their team guided us through the selection process and suggested several showrooms for us to explore. Adrianne was exceptional—if a slab wasn’t available at one location, she went out of her way to track it down at another.

During installation, we needed a few corrections, and the team handled them promptly and professionally. Hilda, one of the owners, stayed on top of every detail and ensured everything was addressed quickly and correctly.

Once our selection was finalized, the craftsmanship was outstanding. The vein matching is seamless, and the flow across our countertops is beautifully consistent. The customer service we received—especially from Hilda—was truly unmatched.

“This experience was AWESOME! Not only did we get to learn how to make some amazing cocktails using Uncle Nearest by a Master Mixologist but we also got some history on the Uncle Nearest brand. If you live in Charlotte or will be passing through and you have a couple of hours to spare...I HIGHLY recommend signing up for a class with them. Trust me it's worth every penny and is the perfect date night, couples night, girls or boys night out. Just a great time for everyone! They also offer private classes you can do a minimum of 6 people and a maximum of 10. For my businesses, don't worry they got you covered too with Virtual Team building classes! Last but certainly not least, they have a shop up front for you to be able to purchase bitters, shakers, smokers, glitter, glasses, you name it! I also loved that the owner has a "bitters bar" for you to try it before you buy it!Will definitely be returning again in the near future!”

Thanks to a wonderfully knowledgeable staff, this newbie was matched w exactly what she needed and wanted (even though I had no clue what the right word was for it). Y'all. Seriously. Only downside was some jerk who parked illegally and got booted throwing a tantrum like my 2-year-old. Read the signs, nimrod.”

“We used Cabinets To Go for our kitchen remodel in Charlotte. We had a good experience overall. Chris Pruett, our main contact, was the main reason we decided to go with them. He was easy to reach, knew his stuff, and never made us feel like we were bothering him with questions. What I appreciated most was that he stayed ahead of things. A lot of people in remodeling wait until you push them for answers. Chris didn’t work that way. He would already have ideas drawn up or updates ready before I even asked. It was impressive

Nissi Home Renovations did our cabinet install. A couple cabinet doors showed up damaged, but they had already noticed it themselves and had replacements ordered before we even said anything. When the replacements came in, they swapped them out pretty quickly. Later a few trim pieces loosened up and they came back out and fixed those too without making it into a whole ordeal. Cutting Edge Stone Works handled the countertops and they turned out great. The kitchen looks completely different now.

There were a few hiccups during the remodel, which honestly is probably unavoidable with this kind of project. Everytime I contacted Chris, he immediteately made things happen. At one point a plumbing pipe got broken during the install. There was some discussion over whether the old plumbing contributed to it, but the important part was that it got handled fast and everyone worked things out fairly in the end.

Overall I’d use them again. The process wasn’t perfect, but the people involved cared about fixing problems instead of arguing about them, and that goes a long way on a remodel.”

“I called to see if they could repair my Zephyr hood, but unfortunately they don't do repairs. However, Greg and Alex put me in touch with 2 companies who do (and who both have 5-star reviews), so I was able to get in touch with a reputable service provider, instead of Googling and finding a random company who may or may not rip me off. The fact that they took time out of their day to help me with this, rather than saying "We don't do repairs" and hanging up on me, lets me know that I will be using/recommending them in the future when I need a new appliance or do any renovating. So, so nice and above and beyond!”

“IKEA is less of a furniture store and more of an all-day psychological experience.

I come for the Swedish meatballs and somehow end up contemplating my entire life while walking through every room setup. Do I need a new kitchen? Should I become a minimalist? Could I be the kind of person who keeps plants alive? Would my life improve if we had better lighting?

Obviously I also have to test the comfort of every bed, sofa and chair because I take my responsibilities as a customer very seriously.

Three hours later I’ve eaten meatballs, lived in 14 imaginary apartments, redesigned my entire life and bought something I absolutely did not come for.

Love this place.

My biggest complaint is WHY DO WE NOT HAVE AN IKEA IN THE TRIANGLE YET?
Why am I traveling hours to another city to eat Swedish meatballs and question whether I need a new bedroom? Please bring IKEA to Raleigh-Durham immediately. And if you’re going to trap me inside a Swedish furniture maze for hours, please expand the cafeteria size and selection accordingly. I want more Swedish food. Honestly at this point give me a buffet, full size grocery store, adult play area, and maybe a sleep pod? I don't think I ever want to leave. 😄”
