“I recently visited this store and management has this place in excellent shape! All the aisles are perfectly organized and straight. Great environment. The whole crew is on top of their game. No riff raff lazy employees which means a lot. Compared to the other dollar general stores in the area this one is the best. Definitely hats off to management. Nicole was the manager on duty and she runs a very tight ship. Good job everyone. It’s nice to go in these retail stores when someone actually cares.”

“I shop here often. Around twice a week. The staff are always friendly & helpful. I have even special ordered cases of food like skinny pop pop corn from them because often they are out or there is only 1 bag left on the shelf.
The smaller size store compared to the nearby large Walmart has a great selection & I can get what I want quickly as well as get discounts with my MVP card. Wal-Mart shopping is exhausting as it feels like I have to walk miles from the parking lot to get what I want & then get out. I highly recommend shopping at Food Lion for your grocery needs.”

“This was our first visit to Sophia and we stopped in here to get a drink. this is a fantastic place! it is like an old-time General Store with everything from food and beverages to knives and hunting gear, and a little bit of everything in between. the ladies were so kind to us and it was a very great experience. “I have been shopping at food lion for a long time and I have never seen any produce that looks as good as the produce at the Holden Rd Food Lion. It is comparable to the produce at Harris Teetee and Whole Foods. The produce manager was very nice and helpful, I truly loved her energy and I will only purchase my fruit and vegetables from here because it is always clean and fresh. I have my family and friends shopping here as well and they agree the fruit and vegetables are excellent and way better than all the other stores. I appreciate this being a vegetarian and hope that it stays this way for the foreseeable future…”

“So i went to Food Lion 7/31 around 9pm. I wanted to make a broccoli salad. So I went and grabbed everything I needed, Then went to produce they had no heads of broccoli, None! I had no idea broccoli was so popular. So I looked around the pre packaged foods. I was looking for the bags with broccoli coliflower and carrot mix. There was none of that. At last I found two bags of broccoli had no idea that they were steam in the bag kind. So I got home got everything laid out to start making the salad thank goodness I started with the broccoli so I hadn't opened all the ingredients.......
Because when I cut that bag open, the stench from within wafted all the way to my bf standing three feet behind me at the sink. He was like what is that. I'm inspecting the broccoli its all molded slimy gross... So I start looking at the bag it's in date but it's bad. That's when I read the instructions don't pierce the bag heat in the microwave. Let cool and enjoy. I am so glad that is not what I had done with it. Because cooked broccoli is already stinky but I can't imagine what would have happened if someone would have cooked and ate it. I will be returning it tomorrow and will update what happens .”

If I am ever on that side of Greensboro I plan to stop by in person. Also, I love that they always doodle a cute pic on my food bags :)”
