“For two years SECU has helped me with a mess of issues. I travel for work, my IDs are rarely up to date, I often have out of state paper checks and on and on. Every time I have an "issue", the tellers are so nice. They are knowledgeable and know policy so they can help me, or help me help myself.Things were so hectic during covid and getting documents, they always helped. Never made me feel as stupid (as I was) or problematic. I made a mistake using a diff prominent cu for my primary monies. SECU even helped me fix the errors THAT other place caused.Being new to Charlotte, I opened 3 bank accounts. You never know a good bank until you've had quirky situations. I've been able to see firsthand how SECU is superior to the others I'm now closing.I referred nearly all my coworkers. Many got better home and auto rates and even tell me abt benefits I didn't know of. I'd just like to share this is a good place... no glitz and big commercials or "stadiums", but professional, reliable and accurate in accounting... employees are kind. Who gets that anymore?”

“I have never had bad service with this fine group of people. It's much more than just a place to cash your check. I've been a customer with this bank for over 20+ years. Back when the banks were "Bank of Stanly" in Albemarle,NC. If you've never met the employees that work there, take the time once in a while & skip the drive thru. I promise you, this local hometown bank will do more for you than any other financial institution around! Check it out!”

“First, walking in this bank was very lively and the employees were very nice. They all seemed to get along great and were funny. They seemed to enjoy their jobs.
Second, Ryan helped me immensely handling my deceased father’s bank accounts. I really don’t understand anything involving finances but he tried his best to help me, and he really did. He was also personable and very kind.
I’d definitely recommend this bank. I’d never recommend dealing with any group over the phone, but in person this bank was great.”
“Farmers & Merchants Bank in Concord is a phenomenal community bank. The customer service is excellent, and the building itself is beautiful and welcoming.
Every time I go in, I have a genuinely positive experience. The staff is consistently helpful, and over the years they’ve gotten to know me by name, which adds a personal touch that really stands out.
For me, that community feel makes a big difference. Not everyone cares about that in a bank, but I really value walking into a place where I’m recognized and treated like a person, not just an account number.

After reading those reviews, I was a bit nervous because this bank location is now my local Chase Bank. Marie assisted me at the teller counter, and she was kind, patient, pleasant, and helpful. “The 24-hour ATM does cash and check deposits. The drive-thru has a 9 ft clearance and is kind of narrow, so vans with ladder racks need to be careful. My first time going inside, I had to wait a while, but the customer service was really good.”

“I have been mad ever since they closed the branch on Church Street. Union Street is a pain to get in and out I have never had an issue with the tellers they seem Pleasant enough but busy. Called to ask a question about a deposit and was on hold for 7 minutes but that's because they have no help inside”
