The Manager and cashier were more than patient with me when my card wouldn't go through right at closing. Manager asked if I had my card locked! Yes! I did it earlier when I had received a call of fraud on my bank account. We unfroze my card and checked out successfully. Thankful. My frazzled state of mind was relieved by the smiling, understanding patience of both of these women. Much appreciated. Thank you again, ladies!”

    3.7 Good 55 reviews

“Upon entering the humble abode of commerce known as Dollar General, I felt a peculiar warmth — not of temperature, but of human kindness. The aisles, though modest in their design, held an abundance of provisions to delight both heart and stomach. Each shelf seemed to whisper of simple comforts: the rustle of chip bags, the glimmer of candy wrappers beneath the unflinching light. The attendants, like benevolent spirits in this temple of necessity, moved with quiet purpose, their demeanor neither cold nor indifferent but touched with genuine care. I departed not with mere snacks in hand, but with the rare satisfaction that civility and good service yet dwell in our modern age.”

“Jason was so sweet! He was the only one working when I came in and he was stocking shelves and still came to greet me when I came through the door. He memorized the isles and was attentive so he was up at the register when I was ready to check out. I’be been in the service industry for over 10 years and we definitely need more people like him!!I wrote that review a few days ago. Came back up to the store and Taiwanna was working and she was also so sweet and amazing! She was so patient with me and took her time making sure the transaction was correct:) I felt so bad about making people wait and she made me feel better and comfortable with my purchases. We really do need more wonderful people like these two in this world! Thank you both!”

Always a pleasant smile. The other cashiers barely look at you and ALWAYS frowning. I actually don't like going there when Deidre is not there.”

“I just left the store at 11:56 am. The male cashier was phenomenal as far as customer service goes. I’m so used to the people that work at establishments around Durham not really being friendly, but he caught me off guard the way that he greeted me when I came into the store. He was also very pleasant when he checked me out at the register. I would’ve given him ten stars for that experience if I could have. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️???”

“Good Dollar Tree on NC-55 overall. They do seem a little disorganized! I have found shampoo in the food aisle which was weird. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Mrs. Kay made small talk with me and complimented me. Management was friendly. One of the managers told me they're struggling with training their staff.. probably not the best thing to tell me as a manager but I understand how that might be a challenge”
