βUnited mini mart is the best neighborhood store! Has the friendliest staff and is always so organized and clean! Theyβve also recently redone the entire parking lot and it was a great improvement.β
βDuring the worst of COVID, as an immunocompromised person, I was gave King's a low rating because there seemed to be a defiantly anti-mask attitude. But a few years later, not truly knowing the whole story, I don't want to hold that against them. (Keeping this remark because I still think it's worth noting. Someone could've commented on the review to provide an apology or at least some context). It's 2024, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The local products are a neat feature, and they have all the household staples you might want. They own the building that also houses the Omie's coffee shop, so King's parking lot provides parking that Omie's lacks. I'll upgrade to 5-stars if they ever start carrying oat milk and some more plant-based foods. That being said, if you do consume dairy, you can get some wonderful local strawberry milk!β
βBig Spoon Roasters are my go-to connection for nut butters. The quality is superior. My cupboard is stocked with the fundamentals such as crunchy peanut and almond butter, to the delightful and unique combos such as peanut pecan, Fiji ginger, and pistachio almond, to name just few. I appreciate the creativity, care, and attention that is put into creating the nut butters. I also enjoy the periodic limited batch offerings such as the bourbon pecan and the Cowgirl cookie. I can't say enough good things about Big Spoon Roasters. Ultimately, you just need to try them for yourself. They are worth every penny.β
11AM - 8PM
1708 NC-54, DurhamβThis is a great grocery store to pick up everything from basmati rice by the 10 lb bag and mango pulp. I love coming here in stocking up on my favorite Indian spices and foods.β
7AM - 10PM
621 Broad St, DurhamβI always like Whole Food went there to get a meal from hot buffet, which didn't disappoint the meal purchase was tasty and I also shopped for a few items which I found with ease. It's definitely easy to spend money in this store because so much to choose from .β
βReally nice Mexican grocery store, with fresh produce, meat counter, and extensive dairy section. Looking forward to shopping here more in the future when they are all settled in.β
8:30AM - 9PM
105 NC-54, DurhamβI come here for MilkLab and Zenfish. Two great places for rolled ice cream and refreshing teas. Awesome Poke Bowls with great prices, I came 4 times in 1 week once I was craving it.β
8:30AM - 8PM
7906 NC-751, DurhamβThis is the closest store to me, so it's very convenient. I don't know if this store is exceptionally busy, but I find that stock can be very spotty. The new finds and featured items are supposed to be out for Wednesday, but if you go on a Wednesday morning most of the Finds shelves are empty, as are some other things. And by Thursday, the "Aisle of Shame" is already a mess. (Customers, please be courteous to your fellow shoppers AND the store staff and put the things you look at back where you found them!)
Today the empty spaces were for nuts and many vegetables...and the green beans looked horrible. Either this store gets trucks late, or they need to bring in staff earlier to stock shelves.
I'm giving one star for self-checkout, which is my preference. However, this should free up the staff to do better with keeping shelves stocked. If that isn't happening because the store is that busy, then they need to hire more staff.β
βI go to compare foods often, but this was my first time buying the hot food in the back of the store, i love Spanish food, so I tried it out, and it was good Deliciosoβ
βAstonishing selection of dried spices, pantry staples, and body care products. If I werenβt just passing through town I would have purchased some traditional frozen foods to test, but I was happily surprised with a fresh samosa and chai at checkout. Great customer service, as well. Everything was generously priced. Definitely a unique market I would highly recommend visiting to expand your culinary horizons.β
9AM - 9PM
1008 W Chapel Hill St, DurhamβI ordered whole goats from this place and it was proper service still ordering friendly service. I can give items that are rare and hard to find I love shopping there.β
βthis place is awesome i always tell my friends about it. they have produce, meats, and sauces etc representative of so many different cultures and cuisines and decently priced. the meat section is it! they have any kind of cut and meat you'd want. i love coming here they are definitely a good spot for the community to shop.β
7AM - 9PM
1065 Yunus Rd, DurhamβI could not believe how many to-go pub sub orders this location had when I came in. They were working SO hard and being attentive to in person orders, as well. Anthony was running the show, he did a great job managing all of the different things going on (orders in the toaster, chicken being cooked etc.). Truly an example Publix deli!β
7AM - 10PM
3808 Guess Rd, DurhamβI wanted to call the feedback line but the receipt wasn't put n my husband's bag. BUT the only reason it was forgotten was bc they were to busy helping my husband to the car. Ya see, my husband has had 2 strokes this year only 4 months a part. And life has been so different for us; however, in a time of uncertainty, we have been blessed to have consistently helpful, caring, wonderful, encouragers at this Food Lion! Geneva, Jenny, and Tashonda have gone far beyond expectations and we, The Thompsons, wanted to take the time out to publicly acknowledge them . Thank you all! For all you do!!!β
9AM - 7PM
4317 US-70, DurhamβItβs an old country store thatβs been around since the 60s so of course itβs kind of βset in its waysβ but I guarantee you that it is a quick in and out if you need drinks or cigarettes or maybe a quick candy bar although the selection isnβt as grand as some of the commercial businesses as this is a family owned store and they have to outsource their own products-They used to sell gas back many years ago but from 18 wheelers pulling into the parking lot put so much pressure on the ground overtime that it caused problems with the gas tanks underground and they eventually had to be removed!Overall itβs a good little store! Friendly people that work there as well as the manager is a nice Mother!β
10AM - 8PM
3639 Angier Ave, DurhamβRenee and Joe are amazing :) I go in there a few times a week and buy a monster and sour candy. They greet myself and other customers by name. They are a true local food Mart. I highly recommend y'all come here!β
βMack Mcclamb is the hero we deserve, but not always the one we need. Bc heβs not a hero, heβs a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight. Five. Stars.β
6AM - 11PM
121 Sherron Rd #210, DurhamβIts your everyday regular grocery store, but I've come to find out this one has twice as much as the Food Lion in Bunn much larger selection, much larger store, has a self checkout and I like it, it's just so far!β
7AM - 10PM
4621 Hillsborough Rd, DurhamβThis food lion is a hidden gem. Everyone in the store was friendly and they had everything I wanted in stock. Have you ever gone into a store for one thing and left with a bunch of other things and forgot the thing you went there for? That happened this time except the nice lady ran out to my truck and handed me the Scotts toilet paper that I had paid for and left at the register. My quality of life this week is going to be much better to say the least.β
βFresh Market DurhamI have been there many times recently when Voncile was the checkout person. While the majority of the employees are really terrific, I find that Voncile goes above and beyond in terms of efficiency, friendliness and focus on the quality of the experience for me.Would also like to applaud Andre in the meat department (he is by far the best back there; I wish more were like him)Finally, Ashley (manager). She is the personification of efficiencyβ
βStore was being stocked because I was there extremely early in the morning. However everyone spoke and was very nice. Didn't mind me shopping around. The deli and bakery had a wonderful selection. Meat was very nice cut. Cashier was very friendly. One suggestion please turn on your cash register light so I can figure out which one to go too. Want sure where to check out and she was helping with something so not immediately at the register. But this store was great. Wish we had one where I lived.β
βIt is interesting to compare this Sprouts with the one in Raleigh. Both have a good selection of healthy foods, which provides an alternative to Whole Foods, and both are open till 10 p.m., which is a good thing. This one tends to be a little bit more crowded than the one in Raleigh.β
7AM - 10PM
2400 Holloway St, DurhamβUsually have items in-stock that the more popular food lions run out of. Side note, this is in an area where you may see anything happen. If Mas tacos taco truck is in the parking lot grab some Carne asada some of the best.β
7:30AM - 9PM

621 Broad St, DurhamβThe only place I was able to find outer aisle cauliflower sandwich rounds. They are an excellent option for keto friendly sandwiches. Harris teeter used to carry them but they no longer do. I also found several healthy alternatives for the outer aisle sandwich rounds. Will definitely use whole foods in the future as they seem to understand different dietary / nutritional styles of living. Five starβ
βIn Durham for work and was referred to The Durham Co-op as I love to bring my lunch and have food in the hotel. The store had great lunch options, wine and cheese. Wish we had one of these in Charlotte. I will definitely be back on my next work trip.β
7AM - 10PM
3500 N Roxboro St, DurhamβExcellent place to find everything you need e.g. Only negative some associates are not helpful. They take a parking lot where you can refill the water and look at the customer in a criminal way.β
6AM - 11PM
4711 Hope Valley Rd, DurhamβThe rotisserie chickens are the best all around than in any deli/bakery store in Durham in my opinion because they're very moist and delicious and I purchase at least two or three a week and if I don't be an early bird to buy them I got to wait until the next day to purchase them. And the ones that are cold may I add they are delicious also. You can't go wrong with those rotisserie chickens. That's a plus for me and a blessing for me to purchase them from that particular Food Lion among other items as well. The staff is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable A shout out to Ms. Jocine. She gives exceptional excellent customer service every time whether she's at the customer service desk or getting carts or cashiering or whatever her role is. I appreciate her pleasantness her smile. I only shop at 2 other Food Lion's stores in Durham and this happens to be the one in my neighborhood. Look forward to shopping there.β
βThis is a very clean and well stocked Palestinian owned Middle Eastern grocery store. The owner are very nice and always extremely helpful and generous. If you want a product that you don't see on the shelves, they seem very willing to start carrying the item for you. This store is a hidden gem, absolutely recommend exploring this place!β
