“Burn boot camp has become the 3rd place I never knew I’d want. Showing up for my first camp, alone: I was nervous, severely out of shape, and worried I wouldn’t fit in.

That was nothing further than the truth. Stephen, Jo, Nicole, Laura and Derek have all gone out of their way to ensure I’m getting the most out the sessions and even helping me modify if my body is not able to do certain movements.

And the other attendees are so encouraging, always high fiving and cheering on each other when we all need it.

Been going 4-5 times a week for almost a month now and I’d recommend this place to ANYONE that is looking for a community of great people, getting a workout in and even the child care they provide (included) is amazing.”

“Great gym! I was visiting for work and stopped by for a lift. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. The workout was great and the coach/owner was super knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.”

“I've been coming to Active Edge for many years with two other tennis players, all of us over 65. The individual trainers are great- special shout out to Melissa. They adapt to our needs as older women who are still very active and want a variety of exercises to help keep us healthy and running around the court. The PT folks are very skilled as well. I appreciate the variety of ages and fitness levels around the facility.”

“I’ve been a part of The Sweat Lab community for 7 years now and it’s my favorite place! It really is such a great community- I’ve met some of my best friends there. Taking classes at TSL (no matter how hard/challenging they are) are always a highlight of my week. I feel so incredibly strong and capable during and after class. Every instructor has such a fun way of approaching class and such different teaching styles and they’re all wonderful people. I am always recommending The Sweat Lab to everyone!”

“I owe Fernando a debt of gratitude. He turned me on to data driven methods for addressing why I felt like I was getting out of breath all the time and why why my cardio was not improving despite me working diligently. He did an in-person assessment of my heart rate at North Durham Fitness and it turned out that may max HR was actually way higher than I thought it was. Things fell into place and now that I am training smart, my RHR has gone down, my HRV has gone up, my VO2 is trending up and I am making real gains. He also developed a personalized training regime for me to follow.”

“I’ve been coming to Anytime Fitness for over a month now and training with Matthew, and it’s been a great experience. I’ve lost 10 lbs, and I feel much more comfortable coming to the gym on my own. Before this, I had no gym experience and struggled with anxiety, so having a trainer made a huge difference. I highly recommend joining and investing in a personal trainer.”

“Really great CrossFit gym and community. I had taken a break due to some burn out and had left another gym.
I had started coaching in 2011/12, and have traveled to tons of gyms.
Bull City was extremely welcoming and got me back into coaching. Class schedule is all across the week, and 24 hr access and equipment offerings are great. Facility is large enough without feeling cavernous. Gym features multiple showers and additional space for extra work and personal training.
Coaches offer a variety of scales and substitutions. Egos are non existent.
Additional offerings like bodybuilding focused work and Olympic weightlifting team really help.
Thank you BCCF for allowing me to enjoy CrossFit and coaching once again.”

“An Orange Theory workout is always great at any studio but the Brier Creek staff makes it particularly memorable. The staff always goes above and beyond for its members and guests when it comes to little things such as memorizing names of the many members to celebrating accomplishments. I could not recommend joining this studio enough!”

“Sometimes you don’t realize how good you had it until it’s gone. After moving from NC and trying out several different gyms, I can confidently say that this O2 location is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve been to in the U.S.

They have both a sauna and a steam room, which is extremely rare for a commercial gym -- let alone having both in the same facility. There’s also a solid boxing bag, an outdoor turf area, and two indoor turf spaces. Overall, it’s a fully equipped, well-rounded gym that covers pretty much everything you’d want.

In the interest of being fair, a couple of downsides I noticed a few years ago when I used to go there:
- The men’s locker room could sometimes get dirty and extremely unpleasant without regular upkeep
- Some machines would be out of order for extended periods, though this didn’t affect me much since I mostly box

I also tried the O2 at Brier Creek, which isn’t quite as nice as this location, but still better than most gyms I’ve been to.

Solid 5 stars from me”

“I had my first OTF class at this location. The front staff were very welcoming and informational. Cece provided a great tour and information on the gym. Coach Garrett brought a great energy to the class I attended and the class structure was dynamic, challenging and fun! The staff made the experience as a first time guest much less intimidating.”

“I recently started Burn Boot Camp and am really enjoying it! All the instructors are welcoming and kind. The classes are challenging and I always feel a good after. The people who attend the classes are also nice and I like the community feeling (high fives during class and interaction with others). One thing I would suggest for anyone who is a beginner to exercises and/or certain movements is to ask the instructor about your form/correct form.

A bonus is that there are showers available for use (which I use when I’m going to work after class) and the child watch services provided for certain classes! A fun perk is also that it’s right next to Daughters Coffee and Books, which is a nice treat after class!”

“Courage Fitness has been so helpful for me in maintaining and improving my health and fitness. The group classes are well thought out and designed with strength-building and longevity in mind. I never have to worry about what's next on the group class schedule; I can simply trust the the CFD Team to put a good plan in place. The coaches are great as well. Even though I attend group classes, the coaches are able to speak knowledgeably to me as an individual and give me good tips, encouragement, and correction to help me make good progress. CFD is a 10/10!”

“I was really nervous to start at a new gym when I moved to the area, but I immediately felt so welcomed by the coaches and members. I am relatively new to cross fit, and the coaches helped me learn proper techniques and find modifications when needed. Although I have to step away due to outside circumstances, I highly recommend this gym. The community that Casey, Katie, and the other coaches have built around the gym is supportive, encouraging, and fun.”

“I've taken boxing lessons at B2B for 15 years. Harold Cook, sole proprietor and coach, was a professional boxer though he would also have done well as an actor, dancer or comedian. He is a superb teacher. You will learn how to breathe, how to stand, how to move - things most of us think we know how to do but we don't. And -oh, yes - you will also learn how to box: footwork, distancing, defense, how to execute a punch. Boxing, when done properly, is not two guys slugging it out. It is a skill, an art - a Sweet Science, as they used to say.
Our group, one woman and six men now ranging in age from 55 to 90 (!), no longer spars. Instead, we do highly controlled drills with no head contact. Even so, it's still pretty exciting and challenging.
Don't expect a fancy place. In fact, B2B is a little grubby and cramped but I suppose that's part of its charm.
I give it high, high marks. Give it a try.

“I joined in February of 2026 and started working with a personal trainer in March! I love it there and my trainer Wilson is a great trainer! I can tell a difference with my body already! Can’t wait to see my progress after a full year. I love the 24/7 access and also that it is a relatively smaller gym so the gym crowds are not as big. I prefer a gym that’s not as crowded.”

“Fuel fitness is one of the best gyms in Mooresville! Everyone is so kind and there is a ton of equipment! The staff is fantastic especially Owen at the front desk! I love how you can access 24/7 and the workout classes leave you sore but wanting more!”

“Very nice gym with a lot of amenities that other Planet Fitness locations lack. They have sinks that run on timers (just have to press the hot or cold buttons down repeatedly to add more time) which are much better than the ones with motion sensors that aren’t very reliable.

It was one of the better Planet Fitness locations I have been to, but be careful where you park and don’t stay too long because they have a very aggressive security guard who is constantly patrolling the lot and harassing people who park in his parking lot.”

“This Planet Fitness location has a very spacious layout and was well kept during my visit. The black card spa features the standard tanning bed and booth, hydro lounges, and massage chairs. There is also a sitting area with a couch, two chairs, and coffee table. The women's locker room was clean and also spacious. The shower area is curtained with changing rooms across, they are also curtained and have a metal chair inside. Overall, this location met my needs and it was a pleasant experience.”
