About Staybridge Suites Durham-Chapel Hill-Rtp by IHG
Staybridge Suites Durham-Chapel Hill-Rtp by IHG offers a comfortable and convenient stay with many positive features. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, including suites with a living room, kitchen, and full-sized fridge, making it ideal for longer stays. The hotel is kept clean and quiet, with friendly and helpful staff. The outdoor warm pool and breakfast options, including nightly socials with food, are popular amenities. The fitness room is well-equipped, featuring treadmills, weight benches, ellipticals, and other equipment, appealing to guests who want to stay active during their visit.
However, some concerns have been noted. The hotel appears a bit dated, and maintenance issues have been reported. The layout can be confusing, with the elevator located far from the main entrance. Guests have also experienced noise from parties and other guests, including smoking marijuana in front of rooms and loud activities, which can be problematic, especially for families with children. An important issue is the hotel's pet policy; despite claiming to be pet-friendly, some guests faced misunderstandings with staff regarding pet behavior and policies, leading to discomfort. Additionally, a significant drawback is the inconsistent hot water supply, with reports of cold showers during extended stays.
Overall, Staybridge Suites offers a good value with comfortable accommodations and useful amenities, but potential guests should be aware of the noise, maintenance, and hot water issues.
Check in was easy with prior reservation. Quick check in, pleasant as well. Great room. Comfortable upon entering. Shower had good pressure too. Large TV screen is nice too. Desk and couch in room. Small kitchenette as well. Fridge too.
