“My visit was limited to the rooftop. Live D.J., drinks and light fare. The setting was awesome and the D.J. provided a very cool vibe. Service was good and the prices were reasonable. “Nice hotel. A little snag with our reservation was resolved by a manager (Antoine), who was very helpful and friendly. Check in was quick. Breakfast was good (loved the smoked sausage). This is our first stay at this hotel (attending a wedding), but we'd stay again if we're traveling through NC.”

“I recently stayed here while in town for an event, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a little stay-cation. The location is a great balance: close enough to the airport and the Angus Barn to be convenient, but tucked away enough that it felt like a real getaway.
Check-in took a bit longer than usual, but the front desk staff were warm and welcoming and kept me reassured throughout the wait, which made a big difference. My room was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I slept great!
My one disappointment was that I paid a higher rate for a room with club lounge access, only to find the lounge was closed for the weekend. The hotel offered a $10 credit toward the bar or snack area, and while I appreciated the gesture, it didn't come close to making up for the extra cost of the room. If you're booking for club access, it may be worth calling ahead to confirm the lounge will be open during your stay.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel, especially for anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing escape that's still close to the area's highlights.”
“I had an issue come up during my stay, and Chris went above and beyond to help get it resolved. He had already finished his shift but came back to the hotel three hours later and personally resolved the situation.
That level of ownership and commitment is rare. Chris could easily have left the issue for someone else to handle, but instead he went beyond what I was expecting. He turned what could have been a trip ruining experience into an extremely positive impression of the Durham Marriott City Center.

“We had a great stay at this hotel! The parking was easy and $15 a night is very reasonable. The location could not be beat for a show at DPAC and the area is super cute with lots of water features, green space and restaurants. The customer service from staff was top notch. The breakfast bagel from the grill was amazing, cooked to order and a reasonable price (especially for a hotel). We loved our stay and will be back!”

“One of the last truly great hotel bars. I spend a healthy chunk of my monthly residencies here (I’m an EMBA student) and can honestly say that the bartenders are among the most amiable drink slingers I’ve ever engaged with. The drinks are as cold as the conversations are profound.

“Stayed here overnight. I was genuinely shocked at how unbelievably NICE these rooms were. The setup is like a small apartment, decorated VERY well, everything was SO CLEAN, the bed was super comfy and shower was fantastic. Alyssa, who helped me at the front desk, was extremely kind and very welcoming and accommodating. The location is super convenient to a multitude of restaurants, and very safe area of Durham. I definitely wished I had stayed here more than 1 night, I didn’t want to leave!”

“I have never done this...written a review for a hotel and I am a Diamond Hilton member. I never had to...But, I was disappointed in the front desk staff at this facility. Several times I stood at the front desk with other guests and no one was there. Some folks waiting to check in, others waiting to buy things. No one around. This happened several times. I asked for an email receipt. Was told that they sent it and it wasn't. Any time I came into the hotel, if there was someone at the front desk, they never looked up and greeted me. They sat there and watched their phone. I was just disappointed with the front desk. The rest of the staff did a very good job, especially the two shuttle drivers I had.”
“Sam is the best. The hotel is always clean and comfortable, rooms are kept up up to date. If there is an issue, the staff is always helpful. The location is excellent and there great places to eat late nearby. The price is honestly a steal for a hotel of this quality.

“Overall, our experience with this hotel was great! The room was very clean and smelled nice. Everything worked and we didn't have any plumbing problems like our last hotel experience. The room is huge and I booked a basic queen suite with one bed. There's a full size fridge, a microwave, dishwasher and cooktop. No bugs that we could see. Would definitely stay here again!!!”
“This hotel was the perfect place to stay. We were being seen at Duke University Eye Center and this was a convenient place to stay. It was less than a mile away. The hotel is conveniently hidden behind beautiful trees right off of the highway. It was so quiet and convenient. The check-in and check out process was quick. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We were expecting a free Continental breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised when we had a free full breakfast buffet.”

1(TV stations half of them nothing came up the ones that did work they kept coming in and out freeze or just go blank
2)the date on TV was dated back to February 1980,Spanish was clear for a .moment,
3)the tower rack was broken,
4)the lamps wasn't working or not plugged in or missing light bulb
5)the pool needed to be cleaned
6) the hotel name is false or the haven't put name in the right place that took over days inn painted that logo black but never put Royal Inn name on it so when look for the hotel itself it's in the front when it's actually behind it the first hotel which used to be royal inn it looks abandoned because the moved behind it to days inn hotel”

“I just spent a week at The Arrowhead Inn on my first visit to Durham. This B& B is lovely, serene and restful. More so than any other B&B I have visited. Drenched with beauty and charm from its sweeping centuries-old magnolias and flowering crepe myrtle in the surrounding gardens to its flawlessly curated, spotless and breezy rooms with such comfortable chairs and beds and welcoming decor that you instantly feel at ease.
The late check-in directions, complete with photos, are super easy to follow. The breakfasts are thoughtfully planned, delicious, and accommodating of food restrictions. The owners are appropriately communicative with details and welcoming in person. They were very accommodating of my requests to occasionally move from one room to another over my week’s-stay as my last-minute need to be in Durham meant I had to fit my stays in each room between dates in which those rooms were already booked by other guests.
In all, I stayed in the Mason and Lipscomb Rooms and the Pyne Suite. All were lovely. If I return, I will try to get the Lipscomb room for the soaking tub that I didn’t have time to try. Its an easy few minutes to drive into downtown Durham while being situated in a stunning rural area—lush, green countryside dotted with fawns. I must have seen about a dozen during my stay.”
