“Great hotel. We stayed for 2 nights over Christmas. We stay at Hampton Inns a lot when we travel and this location is exactly what you expect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable with nice pillows. The hotel is very quiet. The staff at this location were incredibly friendly and nice. When I asked for a late checkout, they readily agreed with no issues. I have family nearby and will definitely stay again.”

Room had nice sitting area, with desk and chair. It had a trundle bed which can be converted to sleeper for two - I would think suitable for kids.”

“Stayed here just a night when in Durham on business and found the rooms to be clean, affording a nice view of downtown Durham. In particular however we appreciated the kind and courteous staff and the nice snack/breakfast! In particular, we appreciated Betty in the food service area, who went out of her way to take careof us and Raymond, who was so lovely and kind helping us with our car! Nice people just make your stay!Food & drinks: Wonderful breakfast with nice selection of hot and cold items and drinks.”

“Comfortable bed, very nice kitchen and living area. I like the new bottles for bathing, shampoo & conditioner, body lotion -- no more waste, good for the environment! Only problem -- we couldn't attach to place they appeared to go on shower wall.Food & drinks: Breakfast here always great variety. Only problem was the dining area was too cold to enjoy the experience. Food was not hot by the time we carried plate to the table.”

“This hotel is right off the interstate which is fantastic because I was just stopping for the night. The front desk staff was very friendly from the phone call I made to let them know I was going to be arriving in the wee hours, until the time I arrived when I was greeted warmly with smiles! The rooms are well equipped and the bed is comfortable which is to be expected with IHG hotels! It's a great location with lots of restaurants and things really close by! I love that I had a kitchen, couch, and bed in the standard room it would be perfect if I was staying for a week or a month!Rooms: My room was clean and had a large two-seat sofa, Ottomans,end tables a fully equipped kitchen large bathtub closet and vanity area!”

“**Front desk is on the 2nd floor. Once you get off the elevator, make a left to front desk.**Really great hotel. Fun and creative art. Front desk staff is really kind and helpful. Good gym. Walls are thin, but rooms are spacious. Hotel in the middle of great eateries within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel was fine. The location worked as it was close to the airport and other amenities. The sofa lost its structure so sitting on it you sank pretty far to the ground which was surprising. There was a lot of construction going on in the hotel. Loud sounds coming from adjacent rooms. The breakfast looked good but wasn't hot so it lost its luster.”

“Jahnae was a welcoming, friendly person at check in. Hotel was nice. Yea it’s showing signs of wear but don’t they all. I was in 307, room was spacious, clean. Heat and AC worked. Great water pressure and temp. Yes two trains zoomed by but they didn’t bother me. The one thing I found annoying is the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open and I had steamed up the mirror. Oh well trash can worked! Thanks for a nice, safe stay!”

“We stayed here last night- the lobby and our room were sparkling clean. The mattress was comfy and the sheets soft. The shower was hot with great pressure. The hotel was quiet and I slept like a baby. Great hotel and great value - esp given they offer an included, albeit simple breakfast.”

“First time staying at a Sonesta hotel. To be fair it was ok but will not be my first choice in future stays. Couple of issues. They had listed pet friendly but not a charge amount during booking the room, it would be nice to know that amount when booking instead of during check-in process. My biggest complaint was a damaged charge was a applied to my C.C., but was told this would be refunded. It took two business days before I saw the refund on my card. This along will cause me not to return.”

“I really liked the room and location. I had a quiet room that overlooked the greenbelt. The staff were attentive and very helpful.Rooms: The extended stay room had adequate facilities. The bathroom and room were very clean. The laundry room was not always clean and some washers and dryers did not work.Safety: The location was safe but some residents propped the back door open which is not safe!Walkability: It was easy to walk to local stores or get there by bus.”

“Hotel is hidden behind another hotel. Its courtyard and grounds were beautiful. Outdoor pool also.Rooms: Nice, clean, and comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, iron, ironing board, and hair dryer. Had all amenities needed.Food & drinks: Free prepacked courtesy breakfast. Ice machine and soda machine on promises.”
“I surprised my husband with a local night away. We usually would stay at a hotel on Franklin St. and walk to dinner. However this will be our new local get away. You cannot beat the price for all the great amenities and 5 star service from the owners. The breakfast was delicious! I wish I had thought to take a picture for this review. I do not have anything negative to say.”
