“This store is very important for the people that live in and around that area we are in the middle of nowhere so that store is very helpful with little things that you need and you don't want to drive all the way into the big city. I would definitely suggest going by looking at what they have that way when you need something you'll know they have it.”

“The customer service here was pretty great. They have a wide variety of items that you would expect to find at most convenience stores. I also appreciate that they stay open to at least 11pm (6/7 days a week) which you surprising don't find at every gas station/convenience store in this area.”
“The quick shop is one of my favorite little convenience stores here in newland North Carolina they always have everything that you need the shelves and the coolers are always full and the manager there he goes beyond the call of duty to help his customers and all the other workers are very friendly and the store is always clean I just can't say enough for this little convenience store”

“I had a car break down and pulled into the Zuha Mart. Thought it just needed oil so I added some. Just to see it dump on the concrete I was parked on. So I asked the cashier if he knew of a tow & taxi service in the area. Luckily he had a number for both. Taxi showed up quickly and was super polite. All in all the Zuha Mart is awesome.”
“I knew the founder of Scotchman when he was alive. I have always enjoyed his stores.I appreciate what he did for my family over two decades and will always buy gas from them when I can.”

“I've (up until tonight) never had an issue with this store. Generally very nice cashiers and good atmosphere. Tonight however was running a little behind but still had nearly 10 minutes before 12 (closing time) went up to the door, which was already locked and attempted to nicely ask the male cashier that since there was nearly 10 minutes left if he would please quickly ring us up for a pack of smokes before shutting down the register. He wouldn't even open the door to attempt to assist in answering the question either way and instead shook his head and gestured with his hands he was still closing, even early. I understand 10 minutes is 10 minutes but it was also lost money and a customer who now feels they were treated very rudely”

Folks running the gas station desk, BIG HUGS for keeping my card safe until I figured where I must have dropped it and came back to get it. By the way, this has been my family's number one local gas station for the past 7 years and will continue to be. Always someone nice behind the front desk. The gas has been good and never caused our three vehicles any problems and the price at the pump is frequently better than in two neighboring towns. We appreciate you folks.”

“Love this location & come here often. Their gas pumps are actually OPEN 24/7 even though their store closes at 11pm M-F & 10pm Sunday's. This is extremely convenient in a town where gas stations close early. They also usually have the lowest prices for gas and their staff is friendly and helpful. They really go above & beyond. I also like the fact that they hire a lot of former military personnel. Highly recommend this location.”

“The Kangaroo in Banner Elk, NC is a top notch Gas station, we always stop here while touring the Blue Ridge Parkway. The service is amazing, it will be extra special if your clerk is Mr. Ramsey. Also don't forget to ask about the possum stew or the pickled hog head they steam all at their store. This gas station has made it on several TV shows from History Channel, Travel Channel, major news outlets like CNN and Fox News, Food Network, not to mention many more. Plus you just might met someone famous seeing that Banner Elk is know as the Hollywood of the Carolinas! If your within 100 miles of the location it is a must to go see for yourself”

“This place is well stocked plus is a clean store with a clean restroom and a very nice lady working the checkout. I travel this route often so I'll be stopping again when I need to stock up on snacks and drinks.”
