188 Claremont Dr, ElkinWe’ve had good experiences with Dr Brinegar and Dr Garing. Very thoughtful, kind, knowledgeable. The office is clean and comfortable, prices reasonable; I would definitely recommend them to friends or family.
The parking lot is sloped, tight for larger vehicles and it can be hard to turn around or get into some of the spaces. The front desk staff are professional although not necessarily friendly; It’s not uncommon to stand unacknowledged waiting at the desk for 10 minutes or more when one person is in front of you or no one is but generally they are knowledgeable, easy to get on the phone and are willing to find the answer to any questions you may have.
Prices are reasonable compared to other vet offices we have used in larger areas.

That's the only 2 things I can really call them out on. Fried mushrooms we're special?The cowboy burger would've been outstanding with the correct bread to complement it. Fried catfish w/ fried squash and slaw was fantastic. Even down to the cocktail and tarter sauces, which I always appreciate when made in house and w/ care. Dang good bottled beer selection as well. Will def be back to enjoy this local gem.

102 E Main St, ElkinWe were visiting town and ended up having dinner here two nights in a row — that says it all. Everything was delicious.
The first night we had the mountain trout, fried chicken, fried mozzarella, and crème brûlée — all excellent. The second night we tried the filet with mashed potatoes and green beans, the burger, and the chocolate cake, and every dish delivered.
Consistently great food and a place I’d absolutely recommend when you’re in Elkin.
