“Needed to grab some beers before a pedal trolley. This was the only place that we could find. They had someone playing live music in there. Looked like a fun place!”
“This place has everything that you could need or want including delicious breakfast sandwiches and other hot food. I’ve driven out of my way for their hot and fresh breakfast food. I just had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and it’s a total 5/5. If you need cat food, they got it, if you need beans, they got it, if you need an energy drink, they got it!”

“They are always friendly and happy to help. They seem genuinely happy to be there. There are plenty of things that will fill you up inside, from pre-packaged items to freshly made food. There are plenty of fuel pumps, and the bathrooms are clean as well.”
“When I was a little girl my grandpa would always bring me here to get candy. He died in 2007 and I had not visited Montford for a while after his funeral. I thought surely the convenience store wasn't there anymore. In July 2020, I had my grandpa on my mind and longed to see his old house so I decided to visit Asheville. Stopped by this store and hit big on a scratch-off! Anyway, the people are still very friendly and the store is a community staple. I hope it never goes away.”
“Looking for an honest car repair shop? Look no further! Go here! I had a minor emergency due to a loose plate dragging on the ground. Although it was late and near closing time, they looked at my car and gave me a quick fix, at no charge, so I could at least get it home. I brought it back again the next day and they fixed the problem at very small price.
I recently brought my car in again for an air conditioning issue and they were, once again, honest about their diagnosis and cost for repairs and fixed the problem for a very reasonable price. Not once did I feel like I was being taken advantage of.”
“The Marathon gas station is fine overall. The pumps worked properly, and I had no issues paying either at the pump or inside the store. It’s a convenient stop if you’re passing by and need to refuel or grab a quick snack.
The convenience store has a decent selection of drinks and snacks, nothing special but enough for a short stop. The outside area was fairly clean, and the staff was polite, though not particularly friendly.
Overall, it’s an average gas station — nothing bad, nothing exceptional. It does its job.”

“Stopped at this place last min before closing and truly had some of the BEST food I’ve ever had. We tried a little bit of everything but the asada tacos and pollo flautas were amazing! Plus service was phenomenal and quick. This is a must try hole in the wall”

“Bathrooms could have been tidier in the front looked a little messy but everybody was very nice when we got in there. They do have a now hiring sign on the window so we will cut them some slack lol. Also it was quick in and out also which we appreciated.”
“Inside gas station, full beer selection bar. No wine, mixed drinks or moonshine just beer. Popcorn and peanuts as snacks. You're inside as gas station if you want other food or go outside and walk around to the Dunkin Donuts next door. Krystal was the bar attendant and she was awesome.”
“I always stopped in this store on my daily walk with Goose. I would get a nice cold glass coke & the sweet lady would always open it & give me a napkin to go along with it. They are very sweet & a great local family market. Goose also made friends with their dog. Support your local vendors!”

“I'm glad Sonoco came to my area. I have to use Premium gas in my truck. Their 93 octane makes my 5.3 feel like a 427 ci. My truck gets 2-3 more miles per gallon with the high octane 93 octane gas. I wish they had 93 octane non-ethanol.I wouldn't mind having a good mess of the? HOT cashier.She acts like she'd give it up pretty easy.”
“I love the staff here, they are better than any of the others in town.Every time I go in there it's always a friendly greeting. The managers and clerks get along well which is wild to me cause every gas station I have worked at, the boss is rude and inconsiderate. But I can sense a real good energy from staff and boss and customers. Some of these negative comments, I was there for at least one and the customer became..... Mega Karen and they had to defuse it.”
