3684 Salem Church Rd, GoldsboroLove this lil beauty of a babydog shop. Ladies are very friendly and you can tell they love their four legged friends. We were in and out o mean I walked they stopped her up and before I say down good they brought her back out and she was tickled pink smiling. She hates her nails done but she loved that shop. I have made it a thing to take one of my three dogs every week to get nails and hang out with mama. Oh and a quick stop at lowes on the way home so they can get all the attention themselves. Recommend the adorable shop so highly!!! Thanks ladies if you see this. See ya tomorrow ?

301 N Spence Ave, GoldsboroOur first visit to Vailhouse was very nice. I didn't think to take pictures, sorry, but I never really think about my phone when the conversation is good.
Anyway, we started with 2 sweet teas and one unsweetened tea. Very nice. Not overly sweet. It was made just the way we like it.
Then we saw Mason Jar Mimosas. Oh, sweet Lord! I wanted to kiss the bartender. Talk about a good drink!
Ok. We ordered the crab and shrimp dip with small pieces of toast. Delicious. Give it a try. One order was enough for the three of us. For our entrees, my mom had the shrimp and grits with southern Collards and potato salad, and a cup of clam chowder. My husband had the fried shrimp with seasoned French fries, the Collards, and a bowl of clay chowder. I had the grilled shrimp with potato salad and a side salad. Now let me tell you, that potato salad did not come out of some big old jar. That stuff was fresh. Our waitress said it was homemade and it sure tasted like it. The side salad was a side salad. Really, what else can I say? My shrimp was so good, and for me it was a perfect portion.
Hubby enjoyed his meal. He said the Collards and the chowder were both delicious. His fries shrimp and fries must have been good, too, cause the disappeared pretty quick.
Now mom. Mom was having one of those days were you want something but you just don't know what. As I said, she ordered the shrimp and grits which is generally one of her favorite dishes. Well, unfortunately she didn't like it. She said it was too salty and had an aftertaste that she didn't like. Of course that doesn't mean someone else wouldn't like it. You won't know til you try it yourself.
Mom agreed with us about the potato salad, chowder and Collards. Not liking her entree, I encouraged her to order something else. She decided to try the firecracker shrimp. She really liked that and, after tasting it myself, we'll be looking for a recipe to make it at home. It's a keeper.
Now on to dessert. My and hubby had the bourbon pecan pie and both said it was delicious. I asked for the chocolate cake, but they were out so I had to settle for the cheesecake. It was such a huge sacrifice, but I was up for it. And it was perfect.
If you haven't gone to the Vailhouse Oyster Bar and etc, etc, go. Give it a try. The staff were all very nice and friendly. The food was great and we will be going back.
