Since moving here from Massachusetts in 2020, I was searching for a place that could meet all of my pets' needs. I used to shop at Petco back home, and I wasn't sure I'd find a store here that offered the same level of service and selection.
After trying other local options, I often found the prices to be much higher than expected and had difficulty finding staff when I needed assistance. Then I discovered this hidden gem, and I am so thankful I did!
The staff at Fin-tastic Fish and Pet Store are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about both their customers and their animals. They have a great selection of pet supplies, reasonable prices, and they always make me feel welcome. Whether I need food, supplies, or advice, they are always willing to help.

311 North Herritage Street, KinstonMother Earth Brewing in Kinston is absolutely worth the stop. We had a great time during our visit, and Tori behind the bar made the experience even better — friendly, attentive, and just genuinely awesome to talk to.
Their tap beer selection was the highlight for us. Every beer we tried was fresh, well‑crafted, and full of character. They also offer their own distilled spirits, which were interesting to sample and we took a bottle of their gin home with us, but we definitely enjoyed the beers overall.
The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was great, and it’s the kind of place you feel good about coming back to. We’re already planning to stop in again..
