This gas station is easily one of the best I’ve been to. The pumps are modern, the area is well-lit and clean, and the prices are consistently competitive with nearby stations. I especially appreciate how easy it is to get in and out, even during busy hours.
The convenience store is also a big plus—it's well-stocked with snacks, drinks, and essentials, and the coffee is surprisingly good! The staff are always friendly and quick to help, whether it’s ringing up a purchase or pointing you to the air pump or restrooms.
Speaking of which—clean bathrooms! That’s rare and much appreciated, especially on long drives.
If you’re looking for a dependable, well-maintained gas station with great service, this is the place. I go out of my way to stop here when I can!”

“Speedway gas station is located on the intersection of 12 and the Buxton Back Rd in Buxton. It is conveniently located and easy to get in and out of. It is always clean and well lit. It is not manned. Self service only. They also have a huge ice vending machine and is close to the beach. I used to be an oil trader and know that speedway has essentially no control over gas prices. Highly recommended.”

“Very cool spot! Stopped by here for coffe and the coffee area was very clean, good options and good coffee. I love a stop shop, where you can get cold drinks, hot drinks, and Wine, lol and gas if you need that too. The store was well kept and the staff was very pleasant.”

“I walked to speedway from work around 3 in the morning on Sunday, 11/24, and the cashier was super sweet. After I bought what needed to buy, I went outside and ordered an Uber, but my phone died. She offered to let me wait inside and when I told her my phone died, she let me use her phone charger so I can track my Uber. I had a really rough night at work ( I'm a line cook and it was the weekend) and she made my night. I don't know her name, but she needs a raise!”

“I am beyond impressed with the staff at the CVS Pharmacy located at the Target in Greenville, NC. I came in as a first time customer and due to some error in my prescription, I was not able to get it filled at the time. The pharmacy staff went above and beyond to get the information needed, however, due to the doctor office who wrote the script being closed, they were unable to do much. They were so caring and considerate of my needs-actions that I am so truly grateful for. Sometimes things just don't work out as planned...and when you have staff that are still willing to put in an effort and help you out regardless, it helps make the situation so much better and less stressful.”
