“Foster Animal Hospital is truly the best. We have been with them for close to 10 years, and I cannot imagine trusting my animals with anyone else.
My dog, Misha/Mishka/Michelle, is a paraplegic pup, and Dr. Plott has been her main veterinarian this entire time. When I adopted her, I was told she might have two more years. She is now almost 11 years old, happy, healthy for her condition, and still very much herself.
Mishka is also… let’s be honest… very spicy and can be aggressive. That has never been an issue here. This hospital has always gone above and beyond to make her visits as gentle, calm, and Fear Free as possible. They do not force, rush, or judge, they adapt, listen, and care.
A very special thank-you to Kaye, one of their vet techs. She is one of maybe three humans Mishka has ever truly loved. Since then, Foster Animal Hospital has consistently tried to make sure Kaye is there when we come in, and that level of thoughtfulness means everything to me.
And then there is my other pet, my cat, who is literally obsessed with going to the vet. He gets excited because he knows he will be greeted with gentle care, attention, and treats. In the attached photo he is all excited about seeing his carrier which means it's a vet kind of day! That alone says so much.
This is what true Fear Free veterinary care looks like. Skilled, compassionate, patient, and deeply respectful of animals as individuals.

“I can't say enough about how caring and empathetic the folks at this place are. I'm newish to Charlotte and hadn't found a vet yet but my sick dog needed to be seen. I did not receive good news about his health and while giving us this news Dr. Pressley sat on the floor with us and gave us the sad news, explained it in detail, and shot it to us straight which I really appreciate. We had to make the devastating decision to go back a couple days later so they could help our dog pass peacefully and Dr. Skinner helped us that day. She was so sweet and kind. I feel like the doctors and the staff treated us like we had been patients for years. The compassion they all had was really heartwarming. This was a terrible time but everyone I encountered was extremely kind. I appreciate them so much!”

She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question without rushing, and treated Goldie with such gentleness and respect.

“We have been taking our pets to Stoney Creek for 15+ years and have always had great experiences here. We normally see Dr Moskowitz and Hemstreet who are just amazing, wonderful vets. We appreciate that they take time with our pets and to answer our questions and don't just try to rush us through. We have also seen Dr Hayden and Dr Poorman who are also wonderful vets. They all really care about our pets. We love seeing them all. The front desk staff, Erica, Issy, Taylor and Evee the office manager all greet you with a smile and are so helpful and friendly. Our dogs love seeing them when we come in. One of the sweet receptionists Issy even gave up her own dog's appointment to get my pup in when he needed to be seen. The vet techs and assistants are all wonderful. My pups also love going to daycare here and loves all of the daycare staff.”

“Today was my first time bringing my dog to Harrisburg Animal Hospital. We moved to North Carolina from out of state and I found this place via Google Maps. I made an appointment, and arrived early. Upon arrival, I was greeted immediately! The place smelled SO clean, unlike other veterinarians. Despite being early, they got me in right away and even offered me a drink. The tech was so sweet and was so nice and informative, as was the doctor. This is for SURE our new animal hospital. The reviews don't lie, this is honestly one of the best veterinarians I've been to!”
