“Very cute store in Downtown Hickory! When I am in town I always enjoy shopping at several stores downtown this is one of them!! The bonus is they have Corky's shoes which I love. A boutique where I live also has them but different styles. Staff is excellent. Every time I go in they are welcoming and pleasant. If you haven't tried this store go and tried.
Only downsize is that I live in Ohio otherwise I'd be here way too much!!! That would be good for you though :)”

“Took my little sister prom dress shopping here yesterday. They had such a great selection of BEAUTIFUL dresses! They were also much more affordable than other prom dress shops in the area. The staff were very kind and patient with us. I’m sure we’ll be back for prom next year!”
“The store was clean and easy to navigate, which I especially appreciated while shopping with a toddler who tends to pick things up off the floor and put them in their mouth. Cleanliness really matters to me, and this location did a great job.
The checkout associate, Janice, was also extremely helpful. She made sure I could access my Sephora rewards through my email instead of my phone number, which made the process much easier. In fact, she was so helpful that I was motivated to complete this survey—something I don’t usually take the time to do.”

Let me tell you about Teresa. Teresa took me under her wing from the very beginning after I asked her a question about how a blazer should fit and if it looked good on me. She then inquired more about my shopping needs.
I just got a new job, and for the first time ever, need to dress business casual. She understood the assignment and the color palette I was going for (True / Cool Summer). She helped me establish staple pieces, helped me find a good bra to try on clothes with (which I ended up purchasing) and had me start trying them on. She then gave feed back on the items, helping me to adjust them so they fit correctly (I definitely learned things I didn't know). She also went out on the floor to exchange things, but more importantly, continued to shop for me, grabbing pieces that she thought might look good on me and suit business casual.
When I tell you I was in tears and gave her the biggest hug - I am beyond grateful. I have been out for 8+ hours three other days in this past week trying on so many clothes only to find they didn't fit for one reason or another. Going home empty handed. I was beyond frustrated, but more worrying, my new job starts Monday (in two days).
The relief I feel, the gratitude for Teresa and the excitement I now have to begin working can now take over the worry.
Teresa deserves a commercial and a huge raise or promotion. Her love for helping women feel good in their clothes is palpable. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job and helping women.
I will be going to this Torrid in the future and only want to shop when she is there. I know this feedback may come across as over the top, some may suspect I know Teresa etc. But I assure you, I have never met her. This feedback is a result of how phenomenal Teresa is at her job. Torrid is lucky to have her.
My wish for her is to be promoted, to be a model for Torrid clothing (if she wishes), to receive major recognition, to receive a raise, or to receive some sort of outstanding notice from corporate etc.
She is one of the rare people you meet that make the largest impact simply by doing something they love. She has no idea how much she just helped me and genuinely changed my life in a seemingly small way.
The last 1.5 years have been extremely challenging for me, I am a newly single mom of four, a small business owner and just spent one year earning my bachelor's degree through WGU, studying 16 hours a day 6 days a week in order to ensure my stability for myself and my kids, as well as my independence.
I am looking forward to my new job and will without a doubt feel confident and professional walking into work on Monday (and every day after).
You never know when you are about to meet someone who will change your life, even in a seemingly small way. I will truly never forget her.”

“I visited this shop after a nearby manicure looking for something stylish to wear on an upcoming fall vacation. I was greeted by a lovely woman named Pam - she has great hair and is so nice - and she helped me so much with sizes and style choices to fit my needs. Pam is great at sizing! “I had a great experience while here. I was assisted quickly when I asked for assistance finding a new product release and treated very well. I will definitely return to this store. They had a lot of items I was looking for as well as some I didnt need but got anyways. I do wish the Sephora in Kohls would carry Gucci so I could swatch the colors before purchasing, but I'll just get a few and decide which is best later. “We went in earlier today and my autistic little sister decided she was going to play hide and seek while I looked at a necklace, she doesn’t respond to people calling her name so I started panicking but knew she was in the store because I had been right at the door. I asked a woman at the register if she had seen her and that I couldn’t find her, and without hesitation or judgment she began helping me look and had another employee watch the door so she didn’t leave. My mom came into the store couple minutes after and found her immediately (mom intuition knew where she would be hiding) and found her in the dresses. My point is, not only are the prices here amazing, but the staff is kind, caring, and takes their job and safety seriously. I’m not sure who the woman was, but she had straight long brown hair and was amazing. Thank you guys so much!”
