One thing I especially like about hobby Lobby as a chain is that they carry fewer plastic items than other stores; would like to see them go greener. That is my suggestion. On this trip I got unfinished wood decorations and fabric for curtains. Good prices for quality American items. Amen.”

I went in one day reviewed the catalog, was not sure as to what fit my liking however the owners were very very helpful. Mr. and Mrs. Strong helped me to find my dream bed. In less than a week I was sleeping as if I was on a vacation at one of the finest hotels on their finest luxurious beddings. This bed is way better than I would've received from any other mattress and bedding outlet honestly!!!!!! its sturdy, the mattress is to my liking I was able to try many mattresses before I actually purchased one. I also ordered box springs because I wanted my bed to sit high and that it does! and it feels so good. oh yea and not only was I able to purchase the bedding and mattress and box springs I also paid a little extra for delivery and set up and it was so quick and easy !!! exceptional service on both the ordering and purchasing as well as the delivery and set up of my bed and not to mention the politeness and professionalism warm welcome I received form the owners and staff. “I've known Ruth Olbrych for a long time. Not only is she a business woman who is dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate about her field and her beautiful antique Chinese furniture, but over the years she has become a good friend. The first time I met Ruth was when looking for an antique Chinese armoire to hide our TV and other things. We had been to a well known location in NY, and were inspired about the idea but not enough inspired by the items there to purchase. Somehow (!) I "found" Ruth and saw pieces on her web site. Connecting with her, we went to see her warehouse in Maine, driving there from MA and seeing family on the way. OK, just 5 minutes at her place left us breathless! Never mind the super-plain cabinet we went there for. Seeing the amazing armoire with an entire family story carved on the front was like stepping into another world. Whether in New York or even in San Francisco, we had not seen anything like it. The beautifully deep, rich red color and dark, somewhat worn metal hardware was brought to life by the softly highlighted figures embellishing the piece. The short story: Ruth has beautiful, high quality pieces and customer service to match. This was the first experience. A few years later I bought a pair of lovely Elm tables with wicker centers that we used together as a coffee table. Again, a very positive shopping experience. We didn't go to Maine that time but the whole experience was 100% great. As a designer and colorist, I have always had the greatest confidence in working with Ruth professionally and recommending Antiques by Zaar and Ruth as often as possible.”

“I used to be a little disappointed in this store because they always had the bare minimum on the shelves and racks but the last few times I've been in there, Christmas holiday, they have been pretty stocked. There has been options and plenty to choose from. Prices are reasonable and no issue with the workers.”
