“Stopped at Lowe’s in Chapel Hill as was in the area getting groceries
Had a project in mind stopped to get some lumber but needed it cut to fit in my car
Selected my material stopped an employee asked if I could have someone cut these 4 (2x4) 8 foot in half waited 15-20 minutes finally waved down another employee who came up just to tell me their saw was not working???? (No signage!) felt totally ignored so got my groceries at HT drive to home Hillsborough stopped at HomeDepot ( should have done this to begin with ) but the groceries….
Walked in collected my lumber stopped an employee asked if these could be cut in half - employee was ‘T’ not ONLY did he say sure he asked what was my project recommended untreated lumber instead took me to get the best (deck) screws cut the boards told me how to create a better frame etc
ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD! I would have be pleased with just getting the boards cut but T went above and beyond to help me Saturday morning!!!! Thank you HomeDepot forget your competition

“My favorite Home Depot near us. Always super helpful staff, great garden section as well. Lumber prices have increased as of late but the quality seems to have gotten better. Well stocked too! Warning, though: the weekend is SLAMMED. so be prepared to have trouble finding parking and have a long wait in line.”
“Great workers in this store and great for Hillsborough. Attempted to order a door installation and was told they contract this work out. The contractor said it would take three weeks before he could even measure for the door. After three weeks, he showed up to the house out of the blue without calling, and then left a message saying we had to reschedule. I talked to an employee in the store and they said they have been trying to get rid of these guys for a long time because they are terrible. Management, please listen to your workers.”
