“called last night to check on and reserve a furniture dolly if they had one available because I had a table to relocate. Spoke with a gentleman by the name of xyz who was very courteous and a pleasure to talk to. He assured me they had plenty of them, and a reservation wasn't really necessary.
I showed up this morning to rent the furniture dolly for the day, and z was just as polite and professional as xyz . She hooked me up with the furniture dolly and I had it back in about 4 hours. Then she was also the person who checked it back in and gave me back my deposit.
I don't understand the negative posts on here. If I ever need anything else from U-Haul again in this area,”

“We reserved a 16' truck a week prior and picked it up on a Friday morning around 9 AM + -. Everything on the checkoff list was noted accurately. Anything that needed to be repaired for customer safety and ease of use was noted on their own inspection list and repaired. I guess they didn't take the truck for a test drive before I picked it up. The truck's steering wheel (while driving) had to be turned to the 10 o'clock position to keep it straight. When I got back to the apartment, I looked at the front tires and noticed the driver's side tire was pointing slightly outward to the left while the passenger side tire was pointing straight. I contacted their service dept. and the manager understood I had a situation that needed to be fixed for our safety and to prevent damage to the truck (we were moving my son from Greensboro, NC to Nashville, TN). There were no other 16' trucks available. The Service Mgr. scheduled an outside company to perform an alignment but it couldn't happen until around 5:30 PM. Because we were on a tight deadline, the Srvice Mgr suggested I stick to our loading plan and when we were done to bring the truck back to the store to be worked on by the outside company. We just needed to get the truck to them before they closed at 5 PM. The outside company was already slammed for the day, so they couldn't come over to align the truck until 5:30 or so. I dropped off the truck around 4:45 PM with only a few things remaining to load in the truck. Around 7:30 PM we went back to the store and the truck was repaired. I asked a technician if he could check the tire pressure to make sure everything was good for the long trip. He did so without any hesitation and also suggested I drive the truck around their facility to make sure the truck's steering problem was fixed. All good. I'm so glad the Service Mgr proactively addressed and resolved the situation without blowing off the situation. If the alignment issue hadn't been resolved, the front driver side tire could have worn down to the treads and had a blow out. This could have caused a serious wreck endangering our lives and others. I'm so glad we rented from Penske and not the local U-haul for this move. I don't feel like the U-haul place would have been as proactive to get the situation fixed.”

“I went to two different services for my semi-truck because after changing the battery, the dashboard was full of codes, the transmission service light was flashing, and no one could figure out the problem. Both places couldn’t tell me what was going on.
Then I came to this service in Greensboro. The gentleman at the front desk checked the codes with his computer, and instead of guessing, he calmly told me: “Just turn the key on, don’t start the engine, press the brake for 30 seconds, and it should reset.” I did exactly that, and to my surprise, all the lights turned off and the truck was back to normal.
The best part? They didn’t charge me a dime. They just said, “You’re good to go.” That’s what I call true professionalism. Honest, knowledgeable, and helpful. Highly recommended!”

“Would like to thank Scott Holland owner and 3rd generation mechanic with Holland Auto Care Center for taking care of my 18 year old sons car. My son is a freshman at Guilford College and plays football for college. Car would not crank and unable to get car running. Scott made multiple trips over to college and diagnosed problem, retrieved parts and repaired car and got my sons car running and back on the road. “So far my experience has been extremely positive. As best as I can tell from my research they have the most competitive rates in the area and storage units available on a variety of sizes. Extremely well managed with secure access and clean well maintained storage units. There is a downside and that is the grading the unit that I have rises almost 2 ft and it is difficult to get heavy items in there whether on a cart or a dolly also if you use a trailer or have any type of vehicle with low ground clearance you're going to struggle it's like the mountains of the moon even though it's paved. I do have an outside parking space as well and I'm a little concerned about the ground conditions when there has been a lot of rain there is standing water and the ground is soft so far I've been able to stay on top of the 57 stone but it is obvious from the struggles others have had that I may have difficult to getting my trailer back out.”
“This is one truck rental service company that truly gets my highest recommendations.they have the largest assortment of trucks and the most accommodating pickup and dropoffs I have ever encountered. In the past week I was faced with the most in-opertune situation where I needed to move my belongings starting immediately to meet a commitment date that was to follow in only 2 days time. To make matters even more challenging, I was faced with this immediate task on a Sunday. My expectations that I would be able to obtain anything in this very tight timeframe were low.When initially calling Penske truck Rental, John had very politely informed me that there was nothing currently on his lot that would meet my needs. However, he requested my contact info to reach me if/when a vehicle should become available.Being it was a Sunday and already past noon, I was not optimistic that I was going to find any rental trucks anywhere.However, John from Penske Truck Rental did locate a vehicle for me in just a couple of hours and made it available to me immediately.To start of with, I was very pleased with this level of service.Later during that week, the requirements for moving got more and more complicated where it was extending more and more time for me to require this rental. But I found that the least of my issues was having a truck available to complete the move because once again John from Penske truck rental worked with me to extended the rental till I could complete my move. I must say that this was a very challenging week for me during a very stressful time, but knowing that John had my back in making sure I was not without a vehicle most definitely pulled me through!!!!”

It was nice to see his young son (11-12) working with him and learning the ropes when most 18 year olds can’t use a can opener lol . “Excellent service!!! Some uhaul dealers are not all that professional but this one is excellent. I did not do the pre check-in but the check in still only took about 5 minutes. When I got back, I simply handed over the keys and left and 5 minutes later got the accurate adjusted receipt. Also the truck I got was in good condition.”
