“What looks like a plain old gas station from the road is actually a good-vibes-only outpost for hungry musicians, fishermen, and beach bums alike. Sheffield’s is our jam whenever we roll through Ocean Isle — fresh local shrimp for the fishin’ line, chicken for the crab pots, and even people food that’ll make you feel like you’re headlining a seafood festival. Grouper, shrimp, crab legs — all fresh and ready to rock.
They’ve got the kind of grocery stash that saves you from driving over the bridge — onions, lemons, spices, kid snacks, and a solid beer and wine selection that hits the right notes every time. Family-owned with friendly staff that treat you like part of the crew.
Our tour pup, Dolly Parton, got her first whiff of pompano, whiting, and even a baby shark (doo doo doo doo) thanks to Sheffield’s bait. Bonus points for fair gas prices and for how much fishing gear they actually have in there—everything you need.

“Clean, nice people, in a small mall and next to a couple of gas stations and other stores like Walgreens. There’s also a Bank of America close by and a museum. Same variaty as any other food lion but with more beach products which can be very convenient if you are visiting our heading to the beach which is close.”
“I've been using online ordering for 5 years now and always satisfied until the last two months. They got rid of insta cart and are now using Flybuy which is horrible.
I can no longer track shopping. Messages concerning unavailable items arrive after shopping is complete so there's no way to approve or disapprove of substitutions.
I'm very unhappy with this new method of shopping.
I'm handicapped and depend on online shopping.

This young lady not only greeted me with a smile but, found coupons attached to some of my items that I was unaware of, and made sure they were all scanned, and I received the proper discounts.
She thanked me for my business and bid me a farewell wrapped in an authentic smile.

“I love Lowe's Food Store ! I shop at two different locations one being Ocean Isle Beach, NC and the other Little River, SC. Both stores are very well stocked and clean. Associates and staff are very friendly and very helpful. I love the Little River location on Wednesday senior citizens get 5% off the grocery bill unfortunately Ocean Isle Beach does not honor the senior citizens on Wednesday! I also earn five s*** off every hundred I spend for gas which I purchase in Little River at their Lowes Food gas station very convenient!”

They provide loads of your basic needs and help and support you constantly. There hasn't been a time where they were sought to not be helpful.”
“OK, so I was doing an Uber eats shopping delivery order and I was extremely frustrated because I could not find items and there was also no Internet reception and Maria noticed that I was struggling right away and offered her assistance. She took the time to help me find every single item on my shopping list and get me out of there as quickly as possible because it was late, and I was trying to get home to my family after a long day of working 2 jobs. She was extremely professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have never been assisted so kindly by a Dollar General employee in my life!!!!! “This is by far the best dollar general in brunswick county. All their staff have been there for several years or more. They know me and I know them. They are always friendly and they have have a great positive attitude. I shop there at least once a day, everyday. Every time I go in the employees are working hard, and are always friendly. The employees In this store are the reason why I'm a loyal customer that will only shop at this particular location. I don't know everyones name that work there. They are all awesome but sherry, Amanda, and all of them are awesome”
“I’m sure I don’t have to remind anyone reading this that there are Dollar General stores popping up like weeds all over the country, and if you live in the Myrtle Beach (Horry County) area, you can’t drive 10 miles without passing at least one DG store. I live right across the border in Sunset Beach, NC and purposely go out of my way to drive and shop at THIS LOCATION despite there being TWO closer DG locations to my home. Why? Outstanding and unsurpassable customer service. The employees at this DG are some of the nicest and most professional I’ve ever encountered in a Dollar General (and I’ve lived all over the east coast: FL, WI, IL, NY, MA, AL, etc.). One employee in particular that always makes my shopping experience a better one is Stacie (i’m sorry if i spelled your name incorrectly, girl! lol.) thanks for being such a great worker and hospitable clerk. Give this girl a raise!”
