“Built in 1948 but “majorly “ updated.
Wanderful owners from North Carolina. Not a franchise. Price extremely reasonable . Peaceful babbling creek running beside the establishment great place to sit and relax and rest your eyes after settling in. Outstanding location for minimal time trip to the Cherokee reservation and all other tourist establishments less than 20 minutes from Cherokee Casino or a great breakfast at Joey’s pancakes and if you the mood for a great barbecue later in the day, try Haywood smokehouse it makes for a great peaceful weekend if you want a quick getaway and again the owners will bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable one.”

“We were greeted with a smile, quick check-in service and a cute doggy! The rooms were very clean, The view and balcony was beautiful. The cleaning staff were also Very welcoming and friendly!”
“Nice stay, good breakfast clean rooms. Pool was nice, hot tub was out of commission. They provide rags for cleaning for motorcycle which is a nice touch. Would totally stay again.”
“On a whim we pulled in on our way to Dale's Wheels Through Time. Decent room rate, comfortable and clean rooms with a very nice look. A restaurant and bar... attached. Delicious food, a great patio outback with pavilion beside a creek for outdoor entertainment. Are you kidding me? My wife and I LOVED it. Great place to stay, relax, enjoy entertainment. Perfect.”
“One of the best motels we’ve stayed at. The staff was friendly, the location was great- right in the middle of all sorts of restaurants and shops, and most of all the room was clean (especially the bathtub- which I’ve usually had bad experiences with at motels). The bed was also super comfortable and the blanket was thick and warm, not ultra thin like the blankets we’ve seen at other motels. Definitely recommend staying here.”
“Weve stayed here a couple times in the past for the beautiful creek view but its been awhile back. Now it is under new ownership and you can tell they are trying to make improvements. I'll give the good first. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and supplied well. The
A/C was new and worked great! The building is clean inside. You can tell they have made alot of new updates. Breakfast was pretty good but we'd prefer bacon instead of sausage.
The front desk service was kind and helpful. The view of the creek from our balcony was beautiful!
Now for the bad.
There's no elevator. There's no bathroom fan. The balconies and outside building need serious pressure washing. The balcony light bulbs should be yellow bug lights instead of bright white bulbs. The landscape needs cleaned up. The place isn't terrible. I'd say it's fair but
we may try a different motel next time we're in Maggie Valley if these things haven't been addressed by next year. If so, we will continue staying there yearly and recommend to others.”
“This is our second stay & we will definitely keep coming! Great location, in the middle of the many places on Soco in Maggie Valley, and right beside Pop’s, which is a mandatory breakfast stop. It’s also across from the event grounds, where most of the car/bike events are held, so it’s a great location.
The rooms are big & super clean. The porch rockers are perfect to sit & watch the mountain (bring binoculars & hunt the goats!!) & talk with other guests.
There are grills, a fire pit, picnic tables, pool & playground. All clean & beautifully maintained.
Maggie Valley is a motorcycle destination, so be ready to see bikes everywhere. I think we were 1 of 2 groups not on bikes at the motel. They leave buckets of towels/rags to dry off your bike when the rains come. I think that’s a nice touch.
The best part of the rooms is how quiet they are! Once you’re in, you don’t hear a peep! The porch lights go off about 10, and it’s sleepy time!
The rooms have a TV, microwave, fridge, hairdryer, hanging clothes rack, dresser & plenty of outlets. The mattresses are sooooo comfy!
This is an older motel that has been well maintained. Do not go expecting a resort. Do go expecting clean, quiet & friendly.
Can’t wait for our next visit. Oh!! Be sure & watch for elk!! We finally saw one!!”
