“I rented a Pensky truck at Home Depot. Made my reservations online. At this particular location employees are very nice and makes the process at ease and when speaking to representatives over the phone or online; customer service is excellent. I rented a 26 footer with a lift gate. I wanted the lift gate because it will help me a lot with the move. I ran into two problems with the truck. When I took the truck home. I immediately wanted to use the life gate. I had issues with the gate coming out completely. My other problem; truck went dead after 2 hours but I had the truck running. With a moving truck with nearly 500 miles this should not be happening. I had to have a technician come out twice to help me with the truck. Overall yhe experience was good. Thank you PENSKYTo customers: In order for the lift gate to comeout completely; you must be on flat surface. Same as when restoring the lift gateIf you rent a truck with the lift gate; you must keep the engine running in order to use it and Pensky has new trucks that are designed differently so if the engine shuts off you must restart the engine in order to keep on using it. If you dont restart the truck, it will not start up and you will have to call representative from Pensky to bring a technician out to service the truck.”

“Great facility. Enjoy interactions with the property manager. However I’ve had some run ins with the asisstant. Not sure of her name but often rude and confrontational if ever asked anything. Once on a 100 degrees day i asked for bottle of water and she said “we don’t give out water to tenants” and i replied but the PM has and does several times even she’s offered without me asking. She said “well i don’t give out water”… with a few smart comments. Another time i threw a small bag in trash and she went off on me. Other than her, i love this property.”
“Sydney and Holly are the Best!!! Very informative, they know the equipment and have a great understanding for what size truck you need. They are not high pressure and do not try to upsell you like other truck rental places. This is my third rental in 4 weeks and I would highly recommend Old Hickory Buildings of Monroe for all of your truck, trailer and moving supply needs.”

“Penske Trucks are great but their prices are too high in 25 years. They’ve had time to beef up their stock and they haven’t. I guess that’s what keeps their prices high. They know what they’re doing. I had to put a $300 deposit on a 16 foot truck. The math does not math.”
“Onsite U-hual manager was excellent & the service was quick & easy but the truck was dirty both inside the cabin & in the back of the truck. Broken glass in the back of the truck that I accidentally stepped on & had to clean up. Luckily no one was injured.”
“Huge shout out to Kevin G. 3 other U-Hauls in town gave me the run around and refused to issue me a refund for a never opened moving blanket and unused wooden furniture dolly. He did. The guy could see I was clearly upset and was nice about everything. He rocks.”
“The UHaul team that worked with me was professional, efficient, responsive and pleasant. Shavonda, who worked with me over the phone, was able to quickly get me set up with UBox delivery and pick up scheduling. When I needed to make a change in delivery, she took care of me in a professional manner. Keisha, who delivered the UBoxes, is a skilled truck and fork lift driver. She navigated neighborhood streets that we tight and curvy with no problems. As a result of the work os these people, I have been very impressed with my UHaul experience.”
“The owner operator was very pleasant and helpful. All staff remained calm and supportive even when the lobby was full of customers waiting to be taken care of. Probably the most pleasant Uhaul experience I've had to date. Only suggestion would be with making it a little more clear as to how/where to enter the parking lot and acceptable parking spots as to not interfere with ingress/egress of traffic and storage unit customers.”
