They also don’t charge for tips because, as they explain, they want to help customers save money, which is a very thoughtful detail.
The food is excellent and perfect to enjoy at home. Definitely a highly recommended place for both its quality and its service.”

“I used to go here frequently whenever I resided in Princeton. They're cigarette prices used to be the best,but they've gone up considerably. The employees are fast and friendly. I did find a cheaper cigarette to buy here Crowns. They offer convenient gas and chips and drinks.”
“You're not going to find anything organic or fancy, but they have the basics. Friendly service and not super busy so easy to navigate and park. Good selection of hot peppers and other interesting vegetables.”

“Always a great burger. I get a bacon double cheeseburger, and that's all I need. No chips or anything else on the side. I happened to be in the area and hadn't been for a while so I stopped in. I did try their chicken salad for the first time, and it was okay but not really my cup of tea - it was a little too sweet for my taste, but that's just one person's opinion. I'm glad I tried it, though. People rave about it. The larger parking area is really nice.”
“As long as I've been alive there has been a Selma IGA. The first owner Joe Moore was just an absolutely amazing guy. And I am so embarrassed to say that I don't know the new owners name, but he is just as terrific of guy as Joe was. When ever I go in and he's there he greets me with a great big smile, a handshake or a fistbump, and always asks me how I doing. The day-to-day manager John is stalwart at IGA. He's worked there since her was a kid and knows the store inside-out. All the girls that run the registers are friendly and never rude or out the way to customers from what I've see. They're always friendly and finally the Store itself is impeccable. The new owner has remodeled the front registers and the produce section and it looks amazing. And even though the store isn't very big the owner has managed to add a sort of butcher's counter with a few select cuts of meat that are different from day to day.”

“Great home cooked food just like grandma used to make. They make biscuits from scratch. Thursday is Lasagna day and Saturday is Meatloaf day. Tony the owner is very nice. Great place for good food.”

“Dollar General in Princeton, North Carolina, is the kind of store you walk into for one simple item and suddenly your shopping cart starts making decisions for the whole family. You go in for paper towels, blink twice, and somehow you are holding snacks, cleaning supplies, batteries, dog treats, a birthday card, and a pack of cookies you swear “just looked lonely.”
This store is convenient, easy to shop, and always comes through when you need something fast. The shelves have a little bit of everything, which is dangerous in the best possible way. It is almost like Dollar General whispers, “You might need this later,” and next thing you know, you are nodding like you have been professionally hypnotized by bargain prices.
The staff is friendly, the location is handy, and the store makes quick shopping feel simple. We truly appreciate having Dollar General in Princeton because it saves time, saves trips, and saves the day when you forgot that one thing you absolutely needed five minutes ago.
Highly recommended — but be warned: you may walk in for one item and leave with a bag full of “good decisions.””

“This store has been the nicest its been in a whilee. Theres no U-boats and rolltainers all in the isles and you can walk clearly through each one. The manager is a delight and she has really turned that store around. This is the only DG in my area that is this nice. 10/10 shopping experience”

“Under renovation, appears congested but not. I was still able to find everything I wanted without any issue except for the pharmacy where the shelves were not properly labeled so I had difficulty finding what I wanted. Checkout was not great. I waited 10 minutes before my turn. The lady was not happy. She took about 10 minutes to complete the process but I understand because my cart was overflowing. She did not even answer when I said thank you. Did not bother me one bit because I got what I wanted. Walmart is a great place to shop.”
“Very impressed with the employees that were there tonight. My husband handed the young man at the cash register too much money and didn’t realize it, and the employee handed it back to him. Meanwhile, I was sitting outside in the car with our baby and an employee came out and found money on the ground. And was looking for who lost it. Even came back out looking again. 2 very honest young men.”
“You can tell they need more employees! The store had stock prepared to put out but with as busy as they were they couldn't step away to get to it. There was a line with two cashiers. One of them I watched, several times, attempt to get away to put things out. It wasn't because they were slow workers. This girl was breaking a sweat trying to juggle and help. There just weren't enough hands to do it ALL! I see this all the time in my local dollar generals... THERE ARE 6, SIX, within 10 miles of my home! Maybe the company should worry more about staffing the stores already in place rather than over populating the area with more of their stores....? I gave 4 stars for those girls breaking their backs to carry that load. NOT for the company itself.”
