“This lodge was built in the late 60s early 70s and is dated, however it is a hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. Do they need to update that's for sure, new pillows would be awesome. The room and appliances were clean. There is an inside pool and hot tub that was clean and has an awesome view. The main lobby is lodgy where you can play a variety of games and the pool table was free, Foosball and air hockey was 50 cents. The beauty of the whole stay was there was not a soul in the recreation area nor the pool when my companions and I were there. It's my understanding that it may be a timeshare and the owner's definitely need to update the place and it would be packed and busy and they would make a fortune.”

“Located just around the corner from Beech Mountain Resort, our destination, this hidden gem surprised us with it's history and charm. Although they are upfront about the lack of air conditioning, we found the temperature pleasant during our stay and the amenities in the room made the price seem very reasonable. Amenities include but are not limited to full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, microwave, utensils, plates, glasses, cooking pans and pots, cleaning supplies, dining table and chairs, Murphy bed, couch, 2 lounge chairs, and tv. The only reason for a missing star on service is because they do not have a third shift staff member and therefore there was no coffee pot ready at 8am. However, I should note the front desk worker was very hospitable and informed us of planned renovations to the property. We will definitely be back when the remodel is complete.”
