“I have visited this store multiple times before doing this review. This store is exceptionally clean, well stocked, and has outstanding customer service. All refrigerators, open coolers, and freezers were operating in acceptable ranges, I could not find a single perishable item beyond its expiration date. All staff were knowledgeable on product placement within the store. I asked multiple employees from cashiers to the meat cutters where the whip cream was located because it's not with the milk as in most stores. They all knew where this was located. Prices were across the board lower on name brand products as well as store brand products. I came at different times of the day and this store was always consistent with quality, customer service, and cleanliness. Even the parking lot was clean with no stray carts. If you do not live near this store it is well worth the drive to come here. Also cashier 0220 was outstanding and went the extra mile for me !”
“My wife and I ventured out nice and early on a Sunday morning for our weekly grocery run at ALDI. Going early is definitely the way to go if you can. We beat the crowds, parking was easy, and just about everything was fully stocked, especially the meat section. If you wait until later in the day, you’ll often find some items picked over and popular meats sold out until the next restock.
The store is conveniently located off NC-501 and shares a parking lot with the CVS next door, although traffic on NC-501 can get pretty busy depending on the time of day.
If you’ve never shopped at ALDI before, remember to bring your own reusable bags and a quarter for the shopping cart. Their no-frills approach—including no traditional bakery or full-service bakery or butcher counter—is one of the reasons they’re able to keep prices so low. We usually stock up on ground beef, chicken, seafood, and a variety of other weekly essentials, and we’ve found the quality to be consistently good for the price.
The store offers both self-checkout and traditional cashier lanes, so you can choose whichever works best for you. It’s clean, well organized, and makes for a quick shopping trip.
The Aberdeen location is open daily from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, making it easy to fit a grocery run into your schedule.
I definitely recommend shopping first thing in the morning if you want the best selection, fully stocked shelves, and a stress-free shopping experience.”
“This is now my favorite store. The people who work there are so nice. Not the fastest cashiers, but I am retired and am not in a hurry. They have most things I need, fresh produce, and good prices in comparison to some other places. I love the shop and earn, too.”
“This Food Lion has improved over the years. They offer a variety of options for different nutritional needs, whether higher end expensive items, those that meet specific dietary needs, or basic nutrition. There are often good sales. However, double check the labels as it is not uncommon to find items that are well past the expiration date.”
“First the young man working was friendly and very helpful. The outside coolers for drinks was not stocked at all. It was not the employees fault because he did not have it to stock. Many people stop here for fuel. I think Harris Teeter could better stock this station with drinks of all kinds as they are losing money each time a customer goes elsewhere.”
“Harris Teeter is my favorite neighborhood grocery store. Their variety of choices is the best of all the local larger grocery chains, & the bakery is always excellent. Their produce and meats are generally fresh & reasonably priced. I sometimes wish their prices compared more favorably with some of the more-discounted grocery chains; but they do offer excellent BOGOs, which allow me to stock up on some items at a very good price. Their store at the location I frequent and all their other locations I've visited are cleaner compared to the stores of some other grocery chains, and staff members are always friendly & helpful. “If you’re staying in Southern Pines, Whispering Pines, Carthage, or near the Moore County Airport, you have a couple of grocery store options, but Harris Teeter is definitely the larger of the two. It’s also conveniently located for anyone visiting the area to play golf, with Talamore Golf Resort, Longleaf Golf & Family Club, and the Country Club of Whispering Pines all just a short drive away.
For golfers, this is a great place to stock up before or after your round. You can grab breakfast, sandwiches from the deli, snacks, bottled water, sports drinks, beer, and anything else you might need for a day on the course without having to make multiple stops.
The selection here is much larger than Food Lion, although prices on everyday staples can sometimes be a little higher. They have an excellent produce department, but I have found the organic produce selection to be a bit hit or miss when it comes to both variety and freshness. On the plus side, they make fresh sushi every day, which is a great option if you’re looking for a quick lunch or dinner. They also have a full-service deli, bakery, pharmacy, a large beer and wine selection, and even a Starbucks inside the store if you need a coffee before or after shopping.
One thing I really appreciated was the thoughtful parking options, including reserved spaces for veterans and customers with children. There is plenty of parking thanks to the shopping center, and they also have a Harris Teeter Fuel Center right next door where you can redeem fuel points—especially nice if you’re driving in for a golf trip or vacation.
The store offers both self-checkout and traditional cashier lanes, and it’s very clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. Free Wi-Fi is available, although don’t expect a particularly strong cell phone signal once you’re inside.
If you shop here regularly, it’s worth signing up for the free e-VIC program for digital coupons, weekly discounts, and fuel points. You can also join Harris Teeter Plus for additional benefits like grocery pickup and home delivery.
Whether you’re a local resident stocking up for the week or a visitor staying nearby, this Harris Teeter is an excellent grocery store with a wide selection, great amenities, and everything you need in one convenient stop.”
