“These guys were amazing. I called to get a quote for the repairs I needed on my car. They were VERY reasonable and gave me a couple different options depending on economy or premium parts. They had me scheduled within a couple days to have the repairs done. I had the option of dropping off or waiting while they did the work. They also had a guest WiFi network available so I was able to work from my computer without having to use my cellphone hotspot. They called as soon as the work was done and said my car was ready when I was able to come back and pick it up. I picked up my car and the checkout process was seamless and easy. I’ve had my car back now for a couple days and have had no issues. I really can’t say enough good things about these guys and their customer service. They will definitely be my go to for any repairs I need in the future and I will always recommend them to anyone looks for quality repairs at very reasonable prices. Keep it up CARS!”

“A rare exceptionally good experience with this auto mechanic. Starting with booking the work over the phone with Greg Corey, it was clear that he and his guys are top notch. Greg provided a quick quote for my Ram 1500 and my girlfriend's Honda Accord, got me a convenient time slot on the weekend with only a couple days notice, and confirmed that he had all required parts in inventory to do the jobs. After doing the work, Greg brought me back into the shop to take a look at the removed oil pan on my Ram, so I could assess with my own eyes the degree of wear and tear based on metallic content in the pan. Some people might not be into that kinda thing, you might just want the job done quick and be on your way, in which case this place is still excellent and trustworthy. But personally I very much appreciate when a mechanic brings me in to talk technical details ... it confirms they know what theyre doing and not trying to upsell on unnecessary services. Greg owns the business and his father and (i think) grandfather also ran transmission shops. He was built for this and it's easy to tell. Excellent shop. I will be back for any future transmission work, no doubt about that.”

“I brought my wife's 22 year old bug in to the shop, completely dead, and they got it up and running in less than 2 days! They charged less for a full workup, including brakes, oil change, inspection, new battery, and fixing the main issue (dead alternator) all for less than the other shop quoted for just fixing the alternator.
This shop is quick, communicative, fairly priced, and most importantly trustworthy! Their work is high quality, and I would highly recommend them!”

“Martin is the best mechanic I’ve found in Charlotte! I had my ac compressor go bad and he fixed it for a low price. I was originally quoted about $1600-$2000 from other mechanics. And Martin offered me $1200! The nice lady at the front desk always is great too! Somehow the part he initially ordered was bad for some reason, but he swapped it out with a brand new part, replaced the fluids, and put a belt on -with no extra charges! The warranty is included for a year as well. Definitely going back if I have any other issues with my car! Lowest price for mechanical maintenance! Thanks Again!”

“My car was “fixed” by a Facebook mechanic who basically did a horrible job. It wouldn’t even start after he finished replacing the knock sensor. So I had to towed to shoppes automobile , big mistake. They looked at it and said it was totaled. I had to towed here and they looked at it for about 5 days. They figured out it was a hosed attached incorrectly. So basically saved me from having a totaled car. I will be taking it back to get the knock sensor replaced which is still broken.”

I started working with them on February 2026 and while State Farm consistently lied and gave me the runaround I can honestly say that Castro automotive was 100% upfront and honest the whole step of the way! Despite my attitude and the way I handled several situations they remained professional and took care of my car going over and beyond!!
