“I had two x5 35d's and decided to buy another one that had issues that nobody could figure out. I have pretty much an intermediate mechanical ability and have close to 10 diesels. Well this X5 had been gone through by two other shops (names withheld) and nobody could figure it out. Well I looked at it and went through it as well and couldn't get the issue resolved. Finally took it to BPC because of their online reviews and recommendations from other BMW forums. They did an initial diagnosis which I disagreed with but when that didn't fix the issue they rolled up their sleeves and put their best tech on it. For those of us who love Diesels there are darn few shops that want to work on them. Well this X5 needed some additional time and they finally figured it out. I told them it was going to be a challenge and it definitely was, HOWEVER THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE. All I can say is everything you read about them is true.They know their stuff!!! “Highly recommend. Found their business on Yelp. I had a VW with what I thought to be a transmission issue and called to get a quote. After speaking with Tim he suggested I bring it in for them to diagnose the issue. They looked at it the next day and sent me a quote. Tim called and we went through it line by line. “About 7 years ago I was living out of state in VA and was moving to NC in 1 year. I was online researching auto repair shops. After looking for quite some time I came across Pro Auto. I called the shop and was fortunate enough to speak with the owner on the phone. We talked for quite some time about the work my car needed. My baby, a 2005 grey Chrysler convertible. I asked him if he could help me. He said Yes. Daniel first recommended tow truck service to get my vehicle to his shop. After the inspection various work was done to repair: some was replaced engine, alternator, water pump, timing belt, batteries, etc. I also get my inspections done here as well! The facility is professional and clean. The waiting room has coffee and water. And you can read your choice of magazines or watch tv while you wait. “Roy was great to work with. He gave me a good ball park price over the phone. I dropped it off and Roy told me exactly what was going on with it and what was needed to fix it. He then replaced the transmission and other work. He did this work in a very timely manner and I have had zero issues since picking the vehicle up. What I liked the most is that Roy listened to what I was experiencing with the vehicle, asked questions and attempted to diagnose the issue over the phone so I had a good idea of what was going on. “Let me tell y'all something. If honest mechanics were in the dictionary, Steve and Ricky pictures would be next to it. I was originally at Precision Tune, my go to because of the proximity to my job but there was a code that pointed to my transmission and they did not have the tools to further diagnose the issue, so I called around and Messer Transmission was the shop that could get me in the same day. They told me like it was and even fixed another issue that I had no idea was going on, mind you I have mentioned to other shops in the past that I was feeling jerking when I take off and put my car into drive and they never investigated nor even hinted to what it might be. Well Steve and Ricky figured it out, they even told me that what I actually came in for might not be the problem and they didn't even want to touch the supposed "problem" because it wasn't a problem they seen too often. Of course it could be just my luck but I was so happy to find out that they weren't after money but after GREAT service. They have the mindset, that when you bring your car in, they want it to be perfect when you pick it up. My car didn't even do the "problem" I came in for during the test drive (of course, right! Now that I was getting in fixed. The problem was non-existent) But anyways Steve and Ricky fixed my motor mount, which I found out was broken in 3 places (pictures to prove it) and replaced my solenoid block for my transmission (This is what I came in for, but they gave me an option to get it or not, because they were completely honest with me, telling me it was 50/50 chance this could fix the "problem") So I opted for it because if it doesn't then at least we know it's not that. BUT THANK GOD, it fixed it. Because of my motor mount and the block my car runs smoother than when I first purchased it. Thank you so much to Messer Transmission, INC (Steve and Ricky). You will get my continued service and everyone who needs a referral I will send them you way!!!I wish I would of taken a video of my engine lifts 3 inches from the mount when acceleration was applied.”
