“This business is absolutely the best! Since my auto repair business in Sanford recently changed hands, I had no clue where to take my car for repairs.
I tried a big name chain in Sanford for what I thought was a little noise under the hood. I was treated like a number, given an outrageous estimate, and worse yet, when my car left their lot after the diagnosis it was in worse shape than when I brought it in! It was literally undrivable when I left their lot.
Word of mouth is wonderful advertising, but I have to spread my good news this way as well! These mechanics at Atlantic Auto & Tire went straight to work with their own inspection and diagnosis.
They repaired my car instead of jumping straight to a replacement of a major system of my car. They treated me as a person, not a number. They repaired my car in the time they said they would and they saved me $1000 in comparison to the quote I previously obtained from the other business!
Their labor costs are reasonable compared with the other business. I know that when I need repairs on my cars, they will seek out parts at the best price and value!
If you are looking for mechanics that are trustworthy and knowledgeable, this veteran-owned small business in Sanford is a gem!

“Bought used car Tuesday. Finance arranged by Tim. Upsold the extended warranty. Told us to reach iut with any questions. Uh-Oh car engine light on and lots of noise from car. Left message for Finance Mgr, Tim, to see what can be done, Wednesday. Thinking he may be able to answer a few questions, introduce us to service manager. No response as of Friday.
Fortunately, Tony the Service Manager came through. Replaced front axles, replaced emissions valve at no charge. Upon 2nd return, Tony adjusted the axles and EGV again under warranty.”

“Rock Rash Performance (RRP) is the best! Back in April 2025, I researched experienced 4x4 fabricator/installers (over 10 of them) in the NC area to turn my stock 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium (with KDSS) into a competent beach vehicle. I chose RRP because they specialize/are experienced in Toyota and Lexus Overlanding Outfitting and are experienced fabricators and welders.
Ian promptly replied to my online inquiry through the website, shared his experiences, provided a detailed quote on parts and labor and most of all instilled confidence in RRP's ability to deliver. Price for parts and labor costs were very competitive.
Yesterday (June 3, 2025), I successfully had a Dobinson IRS suspension upgrade installed; 2.5 inch lift in front, 1.0 inch in back (keeping my KDSS active), installed an RCI (Pike) winch bumper with a Warn EVO 10S winch and RCI (steel) Engine Protection Skid Plate. The install and alignment went flawlessly and was done in the same day.
Deciding to go with Ian and Chris at Rock Rash Performance was the best decision I made regarding my 4Runner upgrade. Note: I drove 3 hours each way (~320 miles round trip) because of their experience. These gentlemen are Veterans (go VETS!), execute quality work with skilled craftsmanship and flawless communication.

“I don't generally write reviews. This may be my third one ever, and the last one was probably fifteen years plus ago. Just not my thing to do.
BUT this body shop deserves a review because they are Top Notch. Stopped by on a Monday two weeks ago and Brandy give me an estimate to replace the back bumper on my wife's VW. And I observed rather quickly she knows her business and I'm sure the other staff members do as well. They ordered the parts (all OEM because aftermarket wasn't available) and said it would take two days to repair. I dropped it off the following Monday and picked it up Tuesday afternoon.
(WOW, That's two days 👍. Wife Especially, and I were very impressed😊)
Paint matched perfectly and workmanship was also perfect. Looks like it just came off the original assembly line. AND they detailed the car inside and out. VERY Professional and Knowledgeable staff!
I had planned on getting a second quote but there was no need to. If I ever need body work again they DEFINITELY have my business!

“I had a rattling noise under my hood when accelerating slowly, took my car to the dealer and they told me it was the muffler and wanted to charge a crapload. I stopped by this place on a Tuesday, he listened to the noise said it was indeed the muffler and that he could work on it the next day. I took it the next day and he didn’t even take 2 hours to replace the muffler. Problem has been solved, no more rattling noise! I can’t recommend this place enough! A++”
