“Home Depot in Shallotte. I’ve recently moved to the area and have never experienced a Home Depot like the one in Shallotte. I’m made to feel like I’m in a local hardware store - I know the names of employees (Stephanie, Connor) who go out of their way to make you feel like a special customer. Stephanie in particular (sold me washer, dryer and refrigerator) goes above and beyond to engage, guide and advise. And does so in a way that’s very conversational and unrushed.

I’ve been to many Home Depot stores in Massachusetts (my old home state) and I don’t remember much about them except that they are big and unfriendly places.

“Over the years I have saved a lot of money buying what I need at Harbor Freight. They have always treated me fairly when there was a problem that was caused by a faulty product. If I lived closer to a store I would enjoy working at their location.”
