“They do NOT close at 12am. They haven’t for a couple years now, even though they haven’t updated their hours online or even via phone. They close at 11pm every day.”
“Meadstown Produce and Deli are two of the best kept secrets in Elizabeth City. They are the warmest, most friendly people you’ll ever meet. Everyone who comes thru the door is treated like family. Their fresh made to order sandwiches are made with Boars Head cold cuts. They also offer the best homemade pimento cheese sandwiches. If you are looking for items to bring home, step into the general store side and there Wayne would be happy to slice some cold cuts, rib eye steaks or center cut pork chops for you to take home! So next time you are looking for some place new for lunch take a short drive into the countryside. It is so worth the ride.”
“Our church ordered 78 pieces of fried chicken on Sunday, August 3rd, 2023 and it was absolutely delicious! They accommodated us by having it ready by 11:00 a.m. and we greatly appreciated it! Nancy, the deli manager as well as her staff are truly an asset at Food Lion! Many thanks for assisting us in having our fellowship luncheon!”
“Tonight is Saturday September 2nd, I made a quick trip to my local DG. I decided to leave a review because I’m always so pleased with the awesome young people that work the night shift on Saturdays. I come in every Saturday and have the best experience with both the male and female that work Saturdays. They are always so helpful and friendly and always positive and smiling! But tonight we had our 11 year old son bring his own money and buy his own chips and the employees did wonderful with him! I wish all employees had the same work ethic as these kids do! Y’all have some amazing night shift employees and I hope they are credited for their efforts :)”

“Friendly staff. Huge selection for such a small store. They sell food, dinks, fishing poles, and even ammo. They also have a kitchen with a slightly varied menu. There is a dining area with a TV. They sell lotto and have a keno board. (one of these days maybe I'll figure out how that thing works)”
“This was a low carb skip day for me and a treat. To be honest I found the best orange slices that I've had in a while. My kids were able to refuel on some junk and juices that lasted us the rest of our trip.”

“Live down the street from this place,I honestly enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, there aren't too many people, and theres a deli in the back for people who want more than just a candy bar or bag of chips. Very friendly staff, especially the cashier in the mornings, as shes memorized my normal checkout as "the usual" which is honestly all I've ever wanted from a store I visit regularly so 5*s from me”

“They have a lot of merchandise already out but always have a couple of carts full of boxes to restock that block some isles . Funny though I've never seen anyone working to put that merchandise out.”
