“Five stars are not enough to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation for the work and highly personal care demonstrated by the Mavis manager and expert technicians at the Mavis Idlewild Road location.
At every turn, this Mavis manager and staff were friendly, highly responsive, and when there was an unforeseen difficulty made it right with compassion, ease, and service unparalleled by any automotive shop I've been to in 40 years of car ownership.
Although I was there for critical tire replacement that was a safety hazzard, they were able to fold in other critical services I needed, without delay and with exceptional quality! This Mavis manager got the tires I needed in quickly and was even able to change to a different tire, upon my request, the same day. Despite my limited time constraints, they fit me in to get the work done.
Without asking they folded in every discount available that I didn't even know about. The prices are great!
This is the only shop I'll go to! 10's across the board!!!”

I called and it was past 6 when they closed: chris entered and he was a genuine, perfect employee over the phone.. diverted my anchor right away and let me know when would be a good time for both of us for me to come back and get the alignment fixed correctly.. 💖👍 a man named steve worked on my car, and he took his time and did everything incredibly correct.. at the end, they allowed me to come look at my car. Why are we still in the air from a distance and explained a lot of things that I would not have noticed... 🙏🙏💙

“Been a customer here for many years, last week We bought 4 new tires and had a routine inspection completed in less than 30 minutes. Customer service was excellent and the store was stocked with complimentary water on that hot summer day as we enjoyed TV while we waited.

“Yesterday I had a sidewall tire puncture. The day was fast getting away from me. I threw the spare i on and headed over to Black‘s Tire and Auto. They literally had me back out the door in 15 minutes with a new, affordable tire. The tech double checked pressure and had me in my way. I tried to tip him for such acceptable service and he absolutely refused to take money (his word) for just doing his job. Great experience!”

“I really like this place, I’ve had to go two different times for nails in my tires. Instead of telling me I needed an appointment, they were able to take me right away. It was a short wait, I was just grateful they could patch my tire up within the hour. The best part, they didn’t scare me into thinking I needed new tires! You can tell it is family owned. “Solid place great service fair pricing it's place I always go for when needing an extra tire or two for my work van. They'll sometimes have a whole set. “First off I am NOT a fan of Ford BUT I found this place on my way home from the insection place because I failed my inspection and needed tires.
Let me say, Bob in the service area, is awesome and so we're all of the other guys. Bob started by asking about my budget. A great place to start for sure since tires can be expensive! We found an affordable but good solid tire below my budget and even though the door says they are on an hour and a half wait, they had JUST caught up and were able to take my truck back within like 10 or 20 minutes! I will be coming back!”
“I can’t say enough great things about them. My family and I were on our way for a weekend trip and had an emergency flat before we even got out of Charlotte. I limped to the shop on our spare and the crew found the issue, patched me up, stowed the spare away, and got us back on the road quickly - and didn’t charge us a dime. “Everyone at this location is incredibly nice, communicative and genuinely wants to take care of the customer. They balanced and rotated my tires after a previous shop (not discount tire) did not do it right and I was getting a vibration in my steering wheel. They ended up not charging for me for the service b/c they felt bad I just paid to get them improperly balanced at another shop. Customer service and care like this will make me always come back to this SPECIFIC store. I have bought several set of tires and gotten service at other Discount Tire locations but this one stands out as the BEST.”
