“Preface on this is that I am a mechanic and never have anyone else work on my vehicles.
We were on a trip from Montana to the midwest and broke down 20 miles east of Dickinson on a Friday at 3PM. After looking over my vehicle and doing what I could on the side of the interstate for an hour and coming to the result that I wouldnt be able to fix it there I started calling around. After talking to 3-4 closer shops (none of which could help me given the time and day) I was referred to Big Daddy's. I called Jarod and he said he could definitely look at our vehicle that night to be able to see if we could fix it the next day or if it was a bigger repair. I could tell from talking to him and going over what was going on that I could trust him with my vehicle, which is a pretty high bar. He stayed late that night to get to a point where we had an answer of if it was fixable that next day or not. We found that it was not and ended up renting a car to continue our trip. While gone Jarod diagnosed what was wrong which was thankfully not a major repair. He had it fixed for us to be able to pick it up on our trip back home and also helped get a new tire on our vehicle as we had a blow out the same day as the break down. I would recommend anyone in this area needing a mechanic to go to Big Daddy's. Jarod was incredible, his wife works there as well and was very communicative and kept us in the loop, and he even has some of his kids working there too. It is a wonderful family operation. From one mechanic to another, you are doing great work!”

“The door on our Forest River 179db Platinum shifted out of the frame. We literally could not close the door, had just started our 9 day trip and were almost 600 miles from home.
We extended our stay at Buffalo Gap State Campground near Theodore Roosevelt National Park to try to get the issue resolved.
We took the door off the hinges and drove 40 miles to Dickenson, ND and found Kuntz RV.
Right from the start, Willy and Florence were so very willing to help us.
Willy just so happened to have everything we needed and we decided that braces were the answer. He cut the three braces to size, measured them precisely so that they would look good, and drilled the braces onto the metal frame.
Florence added the finishing touch to the door by adding black stripping onto the braces.
The price they charged for their parts and labor were more than fair and we were able to continue on....if the door closed.
Willy did such a good job that the door fit perfectly and we were on our way to finish up our trip.

“We were on our way back to Michigan from a road trip out west when we realised our rear tires were ruined do to a terrible alignment job performed before leaving for our trip. We called and showed up 30 min before closing without appointments. They replaced our tires and performed the alignment to get us back on the road. They stayed over an hour after closing to complete the job. This was an amazing experience that saved our trip and allowed us to get home safely.”

The work is solid and reasonably priced. No gimmicks, no shtick, no bs. They both have excellent bedside manner, if you will. Honesty and straightforwardness is are two of the qualities that I've encountered when taking Jeeps 🚙 in to have an alternator repaired/replaced. Some auto shops in town treat you like a burden, or have absolutely zero customer service skills. Not the case at Ray's. Keep up the great work men and God bless you both!”

“We had been traveling and had an issue with our GMC Yukon. It was a Friday night in Killdeer, ND. We went to Charbonneau GMC in Dickinson ND, Saturday morning. Both Ashley the receptionist assisted us with getting Kass Dvorak the sales manager. Kass, having no technicians available made several calls looking for available automotive technicians at several locations. He was finally able to contact his fellow service technician Gavin Robbie at Charbonneau Chrysler who got us in for the necessary service and repairs!! I cannot thank Kass, Gavin and Ashley enough for helping us with our vehicle on a weekend while we were several states away from home. Charbonneau Car Center has 3 incredible people working for them that went above and beyond to get our vehicle repaired and us on our way!!”

“Take it from me, go to Schmidt Transmission!! My 2019 Ford Transit broke down while I was traveling from Maine to Montana, and after having it towed to the local Ford dealership, I wanted to get a second opinion before making such a major repair decision.
As a young woman traveling alone, it was an incredibly stressful situation. From the very first phone call, everyone at Schmidt's treated me with so much kindness, patience, and respect. They made me feel safe, cared for, and never once made me feel like I was being talked down to or taken advantage of. That meant more to me than I can put into words.
They took the time to listen to everything that had happened, asked thoughtful questions, and even called the Ford dealership themselves to gather additional information before calling me back. At no point did I feel pressured. I feel like they genuinely wanted to help me make the best decision for my situation.
They confirmed that I did, in fact, need a transmission replacement, explained all of my options (new, remanufactured, rebuild, and used), walked me through the pros and cons of each, and answered every question I had with patience and transparency. Their pricing was also extremely fair. I ultimately saved over $2,000 compared to the Ford dealership while still getting a quality remanufactured transmission backed by a warranty.
They even picked up my van from the Ford dealership at no charge, which made an already stressful situation so much easier.
I've since driven the van all the way back to Denver without a single issue, and it's running beautifully!!

My budget and their time didnt allow for both the service and chamber replacement on a Saturday. “NW Tires broke a stud, claimed to fix it, charged me full price for it even tho theyre the ones who broke it. 2 weeks later came to Walmart for new tires, only to find out that NW in fact didnt even fix the stud they charged me for. Walmart had it fixed on their dime, got me a great set of tires for an even better price. I'll be coming back to them for now on”

“I found my new car mechanic in town.
When I initially called to make an appointment, I got voicemail. I left a voicemail and was called back within the hour (probably close to within 30 min). The lady on the phone (sorry I didn’t catch her name) was so polite and friendly. Got me an appointment for the next week.
Dropped my car off the night before my appointment and had it back the next day by the evening!
All of the estimate and everything was texted to me, and I was sent a link to pull up all the information for what was wrong. They even have an option to pay it off via payments which is super convenient for expensive car repairs.
I dropped my key off in the secured lock box. And was even able to pick my car up after hours because they can put your keys in a lock box with a code for you to get too!
Truly was so convenient.
My check engine light is off so I assume the service and fix was good too!
Very happy customer who will be returning.”
