“I am not a fan of books as much as my girlfriend is. But we visit Indigo stores together very often. I have to say that this is the best store. There are always books here that my girlfriend wants to buy. In Halifax, for some reason, the books are often out of stock. Overall, the store's assortment is very wide. Here you can buy not only books, but also some interesting things like vinyl records, e-books, vases and much more. The staff is always responsive and attentive. Most importantly, the staff is not intrusive.”

“Okay, this place should be advertised a little more prominently as a "romance" book store, because that's clearly their specialty. I hadn't even realized that "paranormal romance" was a thing, much less one warranting a section for adults and a section for teens!If your preference is science-fiction, horror, adventure, science or history, I'd put this way down the list of places to visit in the Halifax-Dartmouth area. Yeah, a die-hard science fiction fan is always going to find something, and I indeed did, but they were pretty obscure. No Heinlein, no Asimov, one Clarke, one Silverberg, one Sheckley, no Borges. The horror section was very sparse, and this is clearly not the place to fill gaps in your Gold Eagle collection or even your Donald Hamilton.That being said, I was surprised to find a large number of Westerns on two racks. I wish other places made them as easy to look through.Which brings me to the rationale for the four-star ranking: props to them for making the shelves browsable. It's so frustrating to do the funky chicken at other places which have boxes of books they couldn't shelve. Yeah, like I'm going to sort through them after almost getting a concussion because they were strewn about.Mind you, if they face space constraints, maybe they can put the paranormal romance books in the boxes, since their readership can use telepathy to find them, and leave the browsable shelves to the unenlightened Gold Eagle readers.”
