“I went to another Subaru dealer in Cincinnati and they didn't hardly speak to us upon arrival, even to welcome us. The gentleman who ended up helping us didn’t know anything about the vehicle I asked about and couldn’t come up with anything more than I could see on the online listing. Eventually we were told that the vehicle wasn’t available so we left, rather disappointed. On a whim, because I needed a new vehicle relatively urgently, we decided to go to Kings Subaru. We were greeted at the door by Frank, who proceeded to go over the options on their lot. He found the Crosstrek I was looking at and pulled it up for us to see. He went over the carfax with us, line by line, and took us out to look for the “minor damage” that was reported. It turned out to be a scuff on the lower bumper with no additional damage. Frank then got the keys and, while my trade in was being appraised, we went on a test drive. Frank led us on a very reasonable test drive and when we got back he did his best to meet my financial goals regarding the car. Ultimately, the trade amount was fair for a car close to 200k miles and they adjusted my monthly payment down to within my budget. Then I worked with Ken to iron out the financials and sign my life away. Ken did a wonderful job of thoroughly explaining everything, especially when it came to their warranties and add-ons. Everything happened in a timely manner and we never felt pressured at any point. As painful as the car-buying process can be, these folks made it simple and minimally stressful. “The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because David Shelton was super nice and help me test drive some vehicles I really wanted. They each drove very nice. I'm very much a Chevy driver and I wanted my husband to visit this location with me. My husband didn't like that the first sales person I met Ishmael was rude and my husband has a preference of a different vehicle brand anyways. Ishmael greeted me and wouldn't listen to my preferences when we first met. Ishmael kept on trying to sell me on something I didn't want, then randomly he left without even saying bye lol like okay ha. I've worked in sales before and I don't appreciate someone not listening to my preferences. If I had to guess, Ishmael was probably annoyed that I wasn't budging on my preferences, but thankfully David stepped in and stated he would help me. I never ripped a business card that fast in my life but Ishmael definitely was parts of the factors that made me not want to visit again. If there was a way for me to give Ishmael just one star and David a five star I would. David definitely will listen to what you're saying so I recommend him over the other. Inventory is a little low compared to other spots so we found a vehicle at the auto mall near Kenwood.”
