610 West Church Street, NewarkMy Finnegan started day care here recently. They take a lot of steps to make sure the dogs will be safe and also have a great time, which is all a fur momma could ask for.
During his evaluation they determined his play style and energy level to best place him within play groups and suggested days where they would have compatible play companions.
Day care has play groups in the morning, then a mid-day break for lunch where they are separated to enjoy their food in peace, followed by some nap/digestion time, then more play until pick up.
The way they structure it keeps them from being overwhelmed from all day play with no breaks. It also ensures they have had time to feel comfortable eating, and won't have tummy upset by jumping back into play immediately.
Staff to pup ratio is enforced so I feel at ease knowing he is safe and there is enough staff to keep an eye on everything going on. The facility is kept very clean and vaccine records are checked prior to joining so I know the health and wellbeing of the dogs is front of mind.
Finn walks right to the back with the staff at drop off without pulling back towards me so I know he feels comfortable going also. And since he is a high energy doggo, I love that he has that outlet to play and socialize. It has helped with some behavior at home as well.
Also, pictures are posted daily on Facebook so you can see your pups smiling face and I love that little touch.
