He took his time with each of them, never made us feel rushed, and answered every question we had. We also appreciated that we never felt like unnecessary tests or treatments were being recommended. The day before the kitten exam, we also had an emergency with our other cat, Joe. We had just returned home from a trip to find his back paw swollen and very painful. Dr. Steve and his staff were able to fit him in right away, and we are so grateful. Joe was completely at ease during his visit—even happily eating treats from Dr. Steve—which says a lot about how comfortable he felt. Joe received a steroid injection, that he never knew even happened. The compassion, honesty, and professionalism shown by Dr. Steve and his entire team have made us lifelong clients. We highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a veterinarian who genuinely cares about both animals and their owners. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Joe, our rescue mama, and her kittens!

I know he can be a bit snippy if he gets hurt and he seems a little bit bipolar, but he's a good dog.They did a really good job taking care of him keeping him calm and everything really good.They're good veterinarians office. far as I'm concerned from what I have seen they do an amazing job.

We adopted a female 3 yo pit bull / staffy mix that lived as a stray then 10 months in a shelter. We have owned couch potato, EB's for a number of years so this was going to be a big change.
She is a high energy, powerful dog, but we fell in love with her and was not going to leave her in the shelter for any longer. We soon found out that we were going to need some professional training to help with her reactivity to other dogs, leash walking and basic obedience. She is beautiful around people of all ages. We did a search for professional trainers in the Waynesville area and Whole Dog popped up with great reviews. We called Ruth and made an appointment for a consultation and that started the whole process.
The behavioral concerns we addressed were:
1 Leash reactivity to other dogs.
2 Impulse control
3 Not listening, when locked in on something that she's interested in.
4 Pulling hard while on the leash.
5 Wanting to chase after cats are other small animals.
6 Over arousal.
7 Early stage separation anxiety.
8 And of course, basic obedience.
We got started with our first session and it was really about training me as the owner. I found out I really needed that. I was simply blown away with how knowledgeable Ruth is about training dogs. She is definitely a pro.
Peaches and I learned so much during each session, and we are so blessed to have a dog that is so smart and responded to the training as well as peaches did.
We highly recommend to anyone out there looking for a professional trainer to use Whole Dog University. You will be so happy that you did.

The Crate Room at HVO
5474 OH-48, LebanonOne of my absolute favorite orchards ever and one of the best places for some fall fun! My husband and I try to make it to HVO annually for a fall date day and were able to make that happen yesterday. There has been so many changes and upgrades over the year and it's only gotten better! We grabbed lunch from the snack shack-- a fried chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun with jalapenos, queso, and jalapeno ranch with a side of house cut fries AND a tray of loaded beer cheese (housemade) fries with jalapenos and green onions. My husband loved every single bite he tried. The jalapenos were obviously spicy, but so crunchy and had amazing flavor. I usually pick jalapenos off because of the heat, but I nibbled on these the whole meal. The fried chicken sandwich overall was delishhhh. The pretzel bun was so soft. I'm inclined to think the jalapeno ranch was housemade. The beer cheese had too strong of a beer flavor for me, but I am not a big beer fan. We ate on a bench outside and listened to some live music and enjoyed the sunshine. We also got some apple nacho samples and bought our fair share of baked goods. Fritters and donuts were BOGO that day! (hot tip: they often are on Sundays) The apple fritter is one of the best I have ever had. The apple cider donuts are great too. We also got some apples for $2.49/lb (SUCH a good price) and a jug of apple cider (not made there, but still local). Everyone we encountered was kind and helpful. Next time, we plan to get food from Dayton BBQ Co who now operates out of an old barn on the property. Their food looks sooo good.

Chef was very entertaining especially with it just being my boyfriend and I at the table. We had a lot of fun. Food was great, my filet was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!

There are ditches and drop offs you can’t avoid and there are no warnings to not go that way or a way to turn around if you do go that way. Do better if you’re going to have so many guests.
