Even after finding traditional large oven pizza shops, I still wasn’t wowed by what I was getting. Found Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta about 4 years ago, and have been elated to find an authentic New York Pie. Go there 1-2 times a month and when gigging at the Belle & the bear nearby, will grab a pie to eat during setup. Nice thin crisp crust, good red sauce, cooked right. My round trip to get and bring home a pie is 22+ miles, and I still go outta my way to get one.
