The level of service from the staff was top notch from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. On top of that, the surrounding area was fantastic, with great restaurants and bars all within walking distance. It turned an unexpected change into one of the best parts of the trip.”

“So much to do at this kid friendly resort! Water rides are so much fun and the wave pool is a blast for our little ones. Our kids love floating down the lazy river and hitting up the arcade after the water park closes for the day. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was neat and clean and our kids loved the kids cabin. You do have to pay for parking but honestly what resort or amusement park can you visit with no parking fees? We love GWL!”

“I stayed at the Best Western in Mason and overall had a good experience. The hotel is clean, well lit, and feels well maintained for an older property. There is a noticeable scent throughout the hotel that almost smells like cologne—not unpleasant, just distinctive. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest, but I didn't have any real issues with service.
My room was clean and comfortable. There were some stains on the carpet squares, which isn't surprising for an older hotel, and the bathroom could definitely use a little renovation. The flat-screen TV had plenty of channels and options, including HBO.
The pool and hot tub were both clean and well kept. The real standout, though, was the breakfast. It's a fantastic spread with waffles, eggs, sausage, several cereals, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, orange juice, hot coffee, and plenty of choices. Much better than I expected for a hotel in this price range.
The location is also extremely convenient, right off the expressway with plenty of shopping across the street and a Waffle House right next door if that's your thing.
It appears to be a family-run property, and you'll often see members of the family around the lobby, which gives the place a little more personality than your typical chain hotel.
The fitness center is also fantastic.
For the price, this was a solid stay. It's not a luxury hotel and there are a few areas showing their age, but it's clean, convenient, has a great breakfast, and offers good value. I would definitely stay here again.”

“Only complaint is I wish it was closer to kings island! Other than that, great service, clean rooms, friendly staff, and the free dinner (5:30 kickback), breakfast, and 3 free cocktails per adult was icing on the cake! Will definitely return!”
