“I come up here during the summer and go out of my way to shop here. I have a Meijer close to me where I live and they could learn a lot from the Lorain Meijer. Lorain Meijer is clean, well organized, well staffed and has what I need. While they still have a lot of self check outs in use, I’ve been able to utilize a real cashier every time I’ve gone And they are always friendly and quick. I’ve stopped at the customer service desk also and never have to wait.”

“This was my first time in a Meijer. I'm not sure why, but I was always under the impression that this was a discount place. I was wrong. It is expensive. The inside was very bright and clean. It looked either recently built or remodeled. It has home goods as well as grocery. I will not be shopping at another Meijier until I am comfortably in the middle class, I just can't afford it.”

“Went here just as they were opening. Needing insulated duck bibs and gloves. Even tho the isle was busy the employee went out of his way to help. I recommend this place to anyone. Great experience.”

“Definitely a nice Target. It has a good size Starbucks right when you walk in. Unfortunately there are no seating areas though. So you need to be prepared to drink and shop. The only downside with all the self checkout stations at Targets I have noticed is that clearance items constantly ring up at full price so make sure you are paying attention. Otherwise, you likely will be overcharged. If so, you can bring the item to customer service and they can refund you the money but it’s a pain.”

“I was in town visiting my folks when I realized I hadn't brought my boots with me. I took a chance and decided to stop in. The selection was big and the shelves were so clean and tidy. Much more organized than the location I shop at in Los Angeles. The fellow working in the shoe department was great! I had some questions and he was very helpful.”

“I was thrilled to see J.C. Penney's as I was visiting Avon on the west side. The building is a stand alone store. I felt like I was walking through a department store again. The layout was nice. The clothes were beautiful with familiar brands. Great sales were going on. This store has a nice selection of everything. Get a cart at the doors if you plan to buy a few items. The checkout lady was pleasant.”

“What a clean store! I've seen been impressed with Meijer, but this one is especially clean with well stocked shelves and wide aisles. They put great detail into the flooring and lighting. The frozen food section refrigerators are well lit and organized. We found almost everything we were looking for. It is pricier than I remember, we didn't see any 10 for $10. But still I wish they had Meijer or something similar on the east coast. Walmart superstores don't compare, not yet at least.”

“I don’t have a problem with this Store… it’s right there and simple for me to get to and the guys there are nice. But whoever owns this store DOES need to take better care of the floors. The shelves should be fully stocked which isn’t all the time. But over all I don’t smell mold at all like someone said. I’m really glad I can get my stuff I need there within walking distance. AND someone does need to keep the Front of this store swept .”

“I have a love/hate relationship with Target. We all do. You go in for bodywash and come out with a new rug, towels and shelving. It's a vortex. This one.....So nice. The Starbys is a nice touch for sure. Not only is Target taking money but I feel like mommy need some coffee and oh look a Starbys right after I checkout! When I go in here, I feel like I have it together and I'm just getting the bodywash. Everything is so organized and the bodywash I get is where where lotion is and not the other washes. It's bougie and I love it. The staff here always points in the right direction and helps with my random asks like where are the plastic pitchers for ice tea. If you're wondering why I'm not giving my love 5 stars, well, I was looking for black christmas ornaments this past holiday season like everyone else apparently and instead of going into yet another store and walking around crazily, I called. I got transferred twice then hung up on. I was shocked and appalled because my love has never done me so bad. I think I have Stockholm Syndrome.”

“This Walmart used to be a five star one but it's gone downhill a bit. My review is in 2 parts, what I like and don't like about this store. What I like Prices/Availibity- if you live in Avon Lake, this is really it for a good place to do most of your grocery shopping, the local giant eagle is just horrible and over priced, similar case for everywhere else. When I need something- anything at all- and I don't wanna drive too far, I go to this Walmart. What I don't like -main complaint this new method of checking out is just horrible. I really wanted to give 3 stars from this single fact, the 4 is for all the good years here, but they now have a massive conglomerate of 30 self checkout lanes, and when you are buying more than 10 items, they really, really suck. They're really meant for small purchases but now they are the entire checkout, I don't think they have a single conventional cashier. I am spending 15 minutes ringing myself out working when I'm already beat from work or just shopping. When I need to buy alcohol I have to wait to get scanned by a clearly annoyed manager, same thing for using a gift card, and also same for using most coupons. I no longer enjoy talking to the people ringing me out, which is a thing I really like to do. The checkout is just horrendous, that's really it for this Walmart. it's a ton of work and it makes you appreciate baggers and cashiers. Not to mention they probably layed off 40+ workers and replaced them with computers, very sad to see this stuff in general with how our economy is doing.”
