“Emily and Evelyn were amazing! These ladies gave me the positivity that I needed today. Their smiling faces and words of wisdom gave me the strength to power through this journey I'm going through right now. It definitely was the positive reassurance that I needed. I'm so excited to be a member at the y in green because of these two ladies. Thank you thank you thank you!! <3”

“They have and maintain a beautiful fairgrounds here. The staff and volunteers are great. Based on my experience with playing here with Deutcher Musik Verein and Gemutlikeit Clevelander Musikantum they are awesome and accommodating to their bands during the festivals. I’m from Cleveland, so the only downside is that this is an hour away, but it’s worth the drive every time”

“We did not personally stay at the Ronald McDonald house, we were visiting. This house is beautiful. The staff is friendly. There are so many beautiful areas in the house for families to visit, and relax, for children to relax and be creative. Beautiful kitchen, and dining area. So clean and cheerful. This house is a wonderful place for families during a trying time.”

“I went here for a blood donation in July. It was, all in all, a great experience. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and reassuring for a first time blood donor. The volunteers working check in were very helpful, and the nurses were excellent. Shawn (dunno if it is spelled that way) was awesome. He took my donation, and knew the answer for every little nervous question i had. Found my vein immediately, and had a deft touch for everything. I will definitely be participating again as soon as I am able. Also, you get a free ticket to Cedar Point, which is valid until September of 2021! Cant recommend them enough.”

“This YMCA is excellent! I’ve gone to few other local YMCA’s and feel most welcomed here. The equipment is up to date and well taken care of. Sharon works inside the gym and she is EXCELLENT! She truly deserves a raise with how hard she works to keep the place clean and organized. The staff up front greet me by name when entering and if I’ve ever had questions someone has always quickly gotten my answer or solved my problem. I bring my family regularly for open swim and hope to begin using their awesome child care facility also. Thanks for everything you all do to give us a great experience!”

“The Akron Community Foundation literally allows our nonprofit serving the visually challenged to thrive and accomplish our mission. Their support allows us to uniquely serve an individual's as well as County's needs in an environment that is otherwise unserved. They make it a point to understand our unique needs, function and benefits through compassion, dignity, generosity and collaboration, in an irreplaceable and supportive manner. We, and countless nonprofits are indebted to them and responsible for justifying every dollar their support allows.”

“Nice and clean store. The young worker with the blue hair wasn’t the nicest worker. Went to a different lady with the same questions and she was much friendlier and actually gave me answers to my questions.”

“I will have to give this place a four because it's really just a lot of junk. I suppose of youre reseller you can make a buck or 2. Just remember, if you buy things off of eBay ,poshmark, mercari, or a flea market, most likely your clothes came from this nasty place!”

“I first would like to say that I have seen lots of positive changes in the store. The staff seems to be working very hard and keeping the store stocked. The prices are ok and understand all the positive thing in the community goodwill does. I would also like to say how wonderful the new manager is, I think her name was Anita. She was so polite and nice but seemed to have a ton to do. I would recommend this store. Would like to see the store a little more modern though.”

“I like shopping at Goodwill and thrift stores, some are good and some aren’t, like anything else. This particular store has a lot of brand new clothes at really good prices. Yesterday 3/5/23, was the first time I visited here and I was impressed, they had a pink tag 50% off sale and I was able to get a beautiful brand new two piece suit, 3 ties, a pair of pants and a Columbia coat for $42.00, all new items, so there’s some great deals to be found here, it’s a large store so allow yourself some time to look through everything.”

“I got myself into a situation where I had to have faith that LHS members would come through with about 80k for a shoulder replacement surgery that I received a couple of years ago. It was a bit awkward because they changed their policy after I had that debt and I was pretty scared that I might be left high and dry. It took longer than I was comfortable with (they changed their policy on that too, in favor of members) but at the end of the day y'all came through. I just contacted LHS yesterday and was informed that the doctors were paid in full. Once again. Jesus and his children came through. Thank you so much! It's such a huge relief to have that off my shoulders! Amen!”
