“When I first moved to Van Wert, I was told about Brookside Beverage Warehouse. They essentially called it, a drive thru liquor store. This isn't exactly accurate. Its a drive-thru, for sure. Not a liquor store as they definitely sell beer but not liquor. It also sells soda, milk and other sundry items. Service is quick, as it essentially is a drive thru. You just pull in, tell the attendants what you need, they load your car and you pay. This is great especially in the winter, when you certainly do not want to get out of your car!”

“I have come here a few times since I have moved to Van Wert. It's one of the few pharmacies in town. Still I would rather come here than Walmart for pharmaceuticals. I also have come here to shop for snacks and other stuff. The staff is helpful and the store has everything you need in a drug store. Still I will say that soda is a bIt expensive. I used to make a habit of buying soda from drug stores (if I didn't want to make the trek to Costco as that is the cheapest place to get soda). In Florida, you normally can get 3 for $9 or 4 for $11 on packs of soda but not in this store. Also it could also have a larger chocolate section... I mean chocolate always makes me feel better?”

“A while back I went to RK Guns to buy my first gun. I am pretty security conscious and decided to buy a pistol for home defense. I spoke with the employee about what i was looking for. Just wanted a simple, easy to use weapon. I advised him i had never owned a gun before and just wanted to have something in case the worst happened. I ended up choosing the Springfield Xdm-9mm because of his recommendation and because the other gun he recommended carried a much smaller clip. The process was really simple. Fill out a bunch of paperwork for the background check. Then i also took out the credit card which allowed me to pay it back with no interest within a year. Whole process was less than an hour. Only issue with the experience was i couldn't buy any ammo, as there seemed to have been a real shortage at the time. Still can't blame them for that. Now, i need to go find a gun range and get some practice.”

“Every visit to Van Wert Smiles has been great. I am someone that doesn't have nice teeth and have had extra anxiety about dental work because of bad experiences in the past. Dr. Mattin has been wonderful! I have no reservations about upcoming appointments and even have no problem going in when I don't remember exactly what I'm going in for (Normally an anxiety trigger). The staff is always friendly and visits are usually pretty quick.”
