“Best place to take your car. I have never had such an honest, detailed experience with a mechanic before. I have been tricked for years in other states about my air conditioning. They would tell me I needed to change my compressor for a new one costing about $1200-$1400. I have not been able to pay that so I have been winging each hot summer without a/c, or not driving at all because it gets dangerously hot at stop lights and slow moving traffic.I heard about Family Automotive through a friend, and this place has saved my life. Blaine checked everything out and found the problem, the whole unit did not have to be replaced. He explained everything in detail in a way I could understand. Since the cost was not $1200-$1400, I was able to fix other issues in addition to my a/c.I think we all need to take a moment to appreciate and support the honest people left in our society, the people that lift us up and want to see us do well. “My VW jetta was towed to this location late yesterday evening. I had spoken to Chance regarding the check engine light problem and dead battery. He told me I would receive a call once the diagnostic test was done. I received a call from him this morning. He told me that the battery was good. The vehicle was driven and didn’t have any issues regarding losing power or cutting off. But a particular error message kept appearing during the diagnostic test. He felt the VW dealership was better equipped to solve the error problem. He provided the name and address of the dealership. I wasn't charged for the tests.I told him that I was going to submit a review. To not only showing my appreciation but to let everyone know of his polished customer service skills.”
