There was a dog on almost every table getting groomed and they all seemed happy to be there (tails wagging)and they each looked like they was getting the best care. We have had 3 bad experiences getting our dogs nails trimmed and they was quick and sufficient knowing he was scared to death to get trimmed they just hugged and talked to him (even after he bit one of them) like he was there own. We will be regulars from now own for sure.

7706 N May Ave, Oklahoma CityI’ve been bringing my dog to Bark Avenue for years and have generally had good experiences. Noellie usually grooms him and always does an excellent job — his haircut is even and he comes home smelling fresh.
Late last year another groomer cut his hair and it was very uneven, so I specifically requested that Noellie continue grooming him. My account was noted with that request. However, when my mom picked him up today his haircut looked choppy again and he didn’t smell freshly groomed like he normally does. When I called the business, I was told the same groomer who did the poor cut previously was the one who groomed him today.
Everyone there is usually friendly and the service has been good overall, but I’m disappointed that my request was not followed. I work hard for my money and expect the service I pay for to be done with care. I’ll be driving back to OKC in a few days to have his haircut corrected. I hate to put him through another appointment so soon because he doesn’t like getting his hair done, but I can’t have my baby looking so shabby.
Update: the owner reached out to me to make things right, so I took my baby back on Tuesday where he personally got him fixed up. My baby looks like his normal precious self again- I am content. I take my pooch here because I feel comfortable leaving him and I will continue to do so.

As for training, 5/5 stars as well. They use a tens unit instead of a “shock” collar. The treated my dog Broly very well. They gave us the tools we need going forward. Love that they offer lifetime follow ups. The trainers are very knowledgeable and kind. They take you step by step on how to be successful at home. Definitely recommend.

Ive also been planning a trip up north and was stumped with boarding prices because it can be insane, price wise especially with two dogs that are 60 and 100 pounds respectively. But the flat 45 per day and all it includes is an absolute life saver for and extended trip. The facility is clean and well organized and seems perfect in every way for me and my pups. I would highly recommend giving the Lucky Dog Lodge a try if you're looking for anything from veterinary services to grooming and everything in between and then some. 10 out of 10, I would highly recommend.

Tucked in off Classen Boulevard Oklahoma City, the Red Cup has mastered something that can't be faked: community.
The owner has cultivated a place where people are known, welcomed, and remembered. You don't just order coffee here; you become part of an ongoing conversation that has somehow been going on for decades.
The real secret, though, is the people. The patrons are not customers in the ordinary sense. Over the years, many of them have become friends, fellow travelers, and familiar faces whose presence is just as important as anything on the menu. The Red Cup is one of those rare places where belonging isn't marketed—it's practiced.
And then there's Beaver, the chef. Calling him a cook feels inadequate. Beaver is a culinary wizard sage operating under the cover of a neighborhood café. Somehow, ingredients that have no business becoming extraordinary emerge from his kitchen transformed into dishes that make you reconsider your life choices and wonder why every meal can't be this good. If there is magic in Oklahoma City, a fair amount of it is happening behind that kitchen door.
The Red Cup serves coffee, certainly. But what it really serves is continuity. Twenty-four years later, that's what keeps me coming back. Some places sell beverages. The Red Cup has spent decades building a community, one cup, one meal, and one friendship at a time.

The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the drinks are always made right and served fast. You can tell they really care about customer service and making everyone feel welcome.
What really stands out is the vibe—karaoke nights are a blast, the crowd is always fun, and there’s plenty of space inside plus a great patio area. It’s clean, well-run, and just an all-around good time. 
If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with great drinks, music, and a friendly crowd, Kat’s Tavern is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Chicory Coffee House
3013 NW 63rd St Unit B, Oklahoma CityQuite possibly the most lovely and charming coffee shop in all of OKC. The mugs are especially well made and esthetically enjoyable and the specialty coffees are unique with plenty of interesting natural ingredients. The pastry options are appetizing and the decor is very relaxing with lots of local artwork for sale on the walls.
Most impressive, overall, are the staff members. They are unfailing polite, helpful, considerate and provide a very warm greeting to all guests.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. There are plenty of tables with outlets for laptop work stations and multiple lounge areas to accommodate small groups of three or so. Seating is reasonably comfortable and other guests are quite considerate and quiet.
Easily an 11/10 on all fronts. Be sure to ask about the mini ducks at the register, since it's a rather entertaining game of the cafe.

7500 N Western Ave, Oklahoma CityThis adoption center is top tier! This location is extremely clean and the staff is so, so kind! They were very helpful and attentive despite being extremely busy. The adoption process was thorough, but not overly lengthy. Our sweet girl was already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for FeLV/FIV. Additionally they had a carrier and food to send her home with. Our cat was a transfer and had only been there a couple days, but the staff knew her name without looking at the papers and shared some backstory on how she arrived in their care. I’m so thankful Kal to have found this location and our new addition!

We can’t go on a walk without compliments. Plus Christina has been there for any question that has come up and truly cares about every single one of her babies and grandbabies. She is a one of a kind breeder. No one takes better care of their puppies ❤️. We are so blessed to have this little boy and Christina as an added bonus to call grandma ?.
